Willis is apparantly "all in" for a Die Hard 6.

Hell, I wish I could say that about more movies these days.
Better to have over the top action than boring action right?

Personally I like over-the-top action. I practically jumped out of my chair and cheered when he rammed the car into the heli. Bad ass. Physics be damned.

I loved the first because it kinda played out like a slasher film in reverse. The bad guys were trapped with the good guy while he picked them off one by one. Most action movies back then were pretty much 'good guy rampages and kills hundreds of bad guys in over-the-top action to save and or get revenge for his daughter/wife/girlfriend/partner.' McClain stalking, harassing, and then killing the bad guys one by one was awesome as hell, and I loved watching Hans squirm.

Your right. What was cool about Die Hard at the time of release was that it was different. It was basically an ordinary guy put into an extraordinary circumstance. It wasn’t a cartoon like the Arnie and Stallone movies were. Whats funny is, the recent Die Hard movies have become just that. Oh well, they are still fun, but there is really no way to keep the concept going without it becoming an over the top cartoon I guess.

Interesting fact:

The Die Hard script was originally penned as a sequel to 'Commando'

I don't even want to think how many re-writes it took to get from A to B.

Sadly, most people are really ****ing stupid. Sounds like it's basically Bruce Willis in a 90 minute FPS video game.

I'm certainly not wasting theater money on it.

Horrible, horrible movie. My wife loves the Die Hard series so I took her to see it and would have walked out in the first 15 minutes, if not for her. Can I get just an ounce of realism in a movie? This move made Stevan Segall's films look like documentaries.

Caught this last night.

It should be noted that I went in expecting a big fat steaming pile of cheese. I also went in expecting to laugh my ass off. It wasn't nearly as cheesy as I expected and I still laughed my ass off.

I thought this was better than Live Free or Die Hard. It was "more" plausable, the villians were better, and it was rated R FFS.

Speaking of Rated R, they dropped the **** bomb a little too much. It felt forced. It seemed like they got the R Rating so they felt like they had to do it. In the early ones, it just flowed. This one they forced it and it was kind of dumb.

Overall, it's a popcorn flick. Nothing more, nothing less. I enjoyed it, but it is just what I expected. I had fun with it, but I can see how some would hate it.
