i think it would have been interesting to do this with more than one set of monkeys because then they could experiment with using the grapes first and then introduce cucumber to the one and see if the other tossed the grape back

Good theory. We should test it.

I don't have any monkeys handy, though. Anyone got some monkeys? Anyone?

I think by the monkey's reaction it recognized the grape, and valued it more.

I think there may be a future for me in plastic surgery because I'm pretty certain that I could do a better job of facial reconstruction than that.

I'm fairly certain the story goes something like this:

She had a friend she was visiting that kept a chimp as a pet. Her friend decided the best way to chill the little guy out for company was to give it Xanax or some such anxiety pills.

Chimp goes bat shit and essentially rips and eats her lady friend's face off.

Chimps are terrifyingly strong. All primates are.

Capuchins are awesome. I wanted one back in high school and studied up on them.

Apparently full grown they're as intelligent as a 3 year old child.

When you think about it that's dangerously intelligent for a pet...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

People flip burgers or have minimum wage jobs for many different reasons.

Some have no skills, some are working through the summer, some are retired and some are just trying to survive.

But it is what it is. Fast food and minimum wage jobs are normally entry level jobs. The motivation should be to get yourself to another level to where you can make more money, prestige, benefits.

Go to a Chick' Fil A and watch how you are treated and how quickly they try to help you. No matter what their race they are heavily trained to take care of the customer.

Now to the Post Office or your run of the mill fast food place and notice the difference.

Depending on the neighborhood and surrounding demographic you will either be treated like a Chick Fil A customer, or you will be taken care of when they get around to it.

If you don't have the education and the skills to work a job that provides you the style of living that you would like then you need to do something about it.

Nobody said life is fair.

Winners make things happen.

Losers let things happen.
Part of the reason Chick-Fil-A is like that is because they have a pretty dang good program to identify certain personality types that have what they're looking for, even in their front end help. Or so I read somewhere once. That's why you get a similar experience at every Chick-Fil-A.

Gahhh, that's so hard to look at, some "friend" she had.

The only good news is that more recent pics of her look almost normal.
