This might be the best play I have ever seen Smith make.

It's pretty clear his first read is Kelce down the middle. He's blanketed.

The pressure comes right in his face. He stands tall and just rips it deep where only his guy can get it.

Phenomenal ****ing QB play.

Alex has made probably 20 plays this season that you could argue are the best he's ever made. It remains to be seen whether or not he's truly changed at the core, but it can't be denied that he's opened up a whole new can of whoop ass.

Actually kinda pisses me off because he could have been doing this the whole time he's been here. Imagine if we had this Alex 2013-2016 as well...

Watson sucked ass. We confused him all night. It was 39-20 with 3 minutes to go and then he got a bunch of Hail Mary plays but in reality he sucked ass.

That was the last play of the 3rd quarter. Kelce didn't see the field in the second half.

This pissed me off during the game. Didn't even warrant showing a replay? Really? It's so common for a TE to hurdle players now?

Yep, they cut to a somber Al Michaels to talk about the Watt injury right after that play.

Chiefzilla probably still thinks he's the same QB he's always been...

I was curious what the consensus on this play would be.

I thought Smith actually missed the throw. Hill had a LOT of space to work with there and Smith threw him at the boundary. I understand putting the loft under it to ensure that Hill could run under it (with that kind of space, it's probably smart to trade upside for additional certainty so air under the ball vs. flattening to maximize his room was the way to go), but he overheated it a bit and almost sent Hill out of bounds.

What I can't figure out is whether or not he was using the check-down to sell the deep route or if it was just covered up so he pulled it down. I'd think that if it were a designed pump, he'd have had that left hand up to re-set faster. It looks like he was tempted to try that dump off and when it was covered decided to let it fly.

Like I said, I'm curious of the consensus here. That play could be 'man that was amazing, he used the check-down to open up the deep route and threw it right where he had to' or it could be 'man, look at Alex trying to go captain checkdown but when he couldn't he still almost overthrew a wide-open Hill...' and all points in between.
