****ing. Patriots. Tree.

How long after Brady retires will we still be lugging around these ****ing frauds?

It'll be interesting to see how the Bellichick Tree evolves. There are talented folks, but the ones who obsess over the ****ing Patriot Way screw up. Every. Single. Time. But recent Bellichick cronies who ignore the Patriot Way seem to be doing pretty well in the NFL.

So which of these guys will go their own way and which will be Patriot cronies. Bill O'Brien is stubborn to the Patriot Way. Bowles' staff is literred with Parcells/Dimitroff guys (4 were just fired). I bet Matt Patricia will be a Way guy too. McDaniels and Pioli are on the market. Both were emasculated and Pioli was actually forced to sit out the HC hire -- did they learn their lesson? They're huge egomaniacs so I would bet neither has.

I would bet given that the NFL has forgiven Pioli for his ****-ups, which to me is inconceivable, that Haley is being blackballed. The fact that McDaniels is a hot coaching candidate and Haley is not speaks volumes about that. It's a ****ing virus. I hope they all get hired and they all fall hard so we can once and for all kill this disease.

He'll be outprepared every single week. He'd get blown out of the barn. It would be no different than when Spurrier thought he could work 20 hours a week and hang in the NFL like he did in college.

Unless he's willing to go back to the mattresses, he'll get smoked. I don't think he would be.
He would go to the mattress and be a coach again if thats what he decided to do... and its not like he has been away from football spending his days drinking and fishing in Key West

The guy lives for football and is hooked into the league and its trends... were I a Rams fan, he is my first choice

Jets assistant coaches meltdown

The New York Jets' coaching-staff shake-up is underway.

Chan Gailey, who served as Todd Bowles' offensive coordinator the past two seasons, announced his retirement Tuesday.
His departure was expected.

Gailey, in a statement released by the team, said he informed Bowles before the season that this would be his final year. Gailey will turn 65 years old on Thursday.

In addition, Bowles fired five position coaches: Kevin Patullo (quarterbacks), Marcel Shipp (running backs), Pepper Johnson (defensive line), Mark Collins (outside linebackers) and Joe Danna (defensive backs).

More changes could happen. For now, defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers and special-teams coordinator Brant Boyer remain.

Other than Shipp, 4 of those 5 guys are Parcells guys. Rodgers is too. Another Parcells failed circle jerk. What a surprise.

He's gotten way too comfortable with his TV gig, IMO. He wouldn't have the drive to do the job right.
Theres a lot of truth to what you said about his championship. Once the stage was set after the championship games the outcome was over.

Very dumb and lazy on Oaklands part after trading Gruden
Ok, so you want to keep things exactly the same (as it had worked well).
Grudens now in the NFC.
Gruden and his former staff were still friends so the likelihood of Gruden sabotaging them for using the exact same terminology was extremely low.
SO the only possible way this could come back to bite you in the ass is if you somehow end up playing against Gruden. Well hopefully if that ever happens it would be in a meaningless game like in preseason or something.

In addition to interviewing with the Jaguars for their head coaching vacancy, Bucs defensive coordinator Mike Smith will interview with the Chargers for their head coach position, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gruden would be an spectacularly bad hire.

Hell, he wasn't even that good the first time around and left the Bucs organization in shambles.

Raiders, too.

Its up for argument at the moment, but he sure as hell wouldnt be a "spectacularly" bad hire... every damn word I said about him is true

He had multiple winning seasons, won a Super Bowl, and has the name recognition that would get casual LA fans interested again... werent you saying in weeks past that it would take name recognition/sexiness to get LA fans interested again?

If not Gruden... then who is the sexy hire, if not the one with a Super Bowl ring under his belt and the outsized personality?

Tom Coughlin?
