Anybody else think Shawn Oakman could play OLB?

You're talking about a 6'9", uber-athletic replica of Jason Pierre-Paul.

Do you think a guy like that could play OLB? 100% of his snaps for Baylor are at DE with his hands in the dirt. I'd love to see him run rushbacker drills at the Combine.

He'll look a bit like Williams, Peppers, and Aldon Smith does at the position.

With his current build, he'd be more effective at that position than at 5-tech. If he adds on 30-40 pounds and a lot of muscle, he would be fine at 5-tech. If Hali could do it, Oakman can as well. He moves very well, especially for a big man, but his legs are just so dang long that he looks a bit sluggish.

Hey, all we need him to do is what Hali does now.

He can totally do that, with some grooming.

I think he's more of a "JJ Watt" type than he is a "Justin Houston" type rusher. I think he'd make a pretty damned good "hand in the dirt" DE.
