Yes. I remember a few years ago one team or the other wasn't in first place, and yet the annual meeting continued anyway because just by happenstance it was the AFC South vs. AFC East year. Sort of amazing, but few remember now that the Colts WERE in the AFC East until realignment, which was, whatever, 2000 or something. If it wasn't for that, the annual Colts/Pats battles would've been AT LEAST twice a year, plus playoffs, potentially, and the playoff ramifications pretty epic. Better that they moved so they could dominate their own division, but would've been strange. Can you imagine Montana and Marino in the same division, much less conference?!

Why do you even follow football? You are so miserable. There is no reason anyone should expect this NOT to be a close game, let alone get our asses kicked. Why do you continue this rhetoric?

This. Mods, please ban him again. Nothing personal, but this is the superstition in me talking. 4-0 without him. If the Chiefs lose to the Bills, it's the mods fault.

Chiefs Versus Bills:
Chiefs record from 1960-1964 - 3-6-1 Chiefs record from 1965-1969 - 6-3 Chiefs record from 1970-1974 - 1-1 Chiefs record from 1975-1979 - 1-2 Chiefs record from 1980-1984 - 1-3 Chiefs record from 1985-1989 - 1-1 Chiefs record from 1990-1994 - 2-3 Chiefs record from 1995-1999 - 1-1 Chiefs record from 2000-2004 - 2-1 Chiefs record from 2005-2009 - 0-3 Chiefs record from 2010-2014 - 3-2 The Chiefs have never won a full decade against the Bills, surprisingly. But they're ahead so far in the 2010s. Current streak: Chiefs have won the last 2 in a row against Buffalo. 17-13 win in 2014 as Jamaal Charles and Alex Smith rushed for two fourth-quarter TDs to make a comeback win in Buffalo. 23-13 win in 2013 as the Chiefs outscored the Bills 20-3 in the second half in Buffalo. The second half featured two defensive TDs, a 100-yard interception return by Sean Smith and an 11-yard fumble recovery by Tamba Hali.

Just a funny expression I got from CP (Donger, oddly enough) that I like to use. I thought about using the expression "throw ropes" which I got from CP as well (Hamas can take credit for that one) but decided against it. |

Can Sean Smith mean that much to Bob Sutton and his play calling that we've completely reversed our defensive fortunes since his return? Is Sean Smith actually that freaking good that he's allowed the defensive play calling to be that much more aggressive and effective? You know, because, when the Chiefs were in that tailspin after the Denver debacle in Kansas City, Bob Sutton was criminal #1 in my eyes. Now he looks like a complete mastermind. WTF? |
