Brandon Carr restructured?

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ey...up-for-cowboys

See the table partway down.

He apparently restructured to save over $10 mill last year, but cost 2 mill more this year?

Another report:

http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/20...-cowboys.html/

And another (funnier) one:

He clearly wanted to go to Dallas, per his latest comments about the charity work he will be able to do their now because Dallas is so much bigger than KC.

Don't think anyone really cares anymore. And least of all couldn't care less about JJ's salary cap issues.

FYI, Brandon Carr, Jared Allen, Bernard Pollard, Matt Cassel, and Eric Winston are longer Chiefs. Let's quit with the threads on ex-players.

I thought he had cut his salary, which I think would be interesting. I'm not butt hurt, but interesting to see what salaries our cast-offs get and maintain.

I really think that's bullshit. Just like the BS that Orton wanted to go to Dallas.

I find it very hard to believe that Carr wouldn't have been here if not for Scott Pioli.

Kyle Orton did not want to come Kansas City in the first place. He pretty much openly leaked it to the media that he didn't want the Chiefs to claim him off waivers.

This stuff is literally fantasy that people have made up in their heads. The fact that people won't let it go is borderline disturbing at this point.

I don't remember who it was. I'm pretty sure there was a dependable poster on CP who said Kyle Orton said he didn't come back to KC because it was clear he wasn't wanted.

This is the NFL. I find it really hard to believe that a player can't be had for the right price.

Sometimes that's true. How much would the Chiefs have offered to beat out the Cowboys for Carr? 60 million? Carr wanted to go to a bigger city. That's why Pioli signed Routt before FA even started. Carr was out the door.

Really, Orton did too. He wanted to be in Chicago. But he settled for Dallas. Orton didn't even wait around and see how the FA market played out to see if he could compete for a job. He went straight to Dallas and signed to be a backup. I've yet to hear anyone anywhere give a reasonable explanation for that. Yet we continue to think otherwise, a year later now.

After seeing Carr play average last year, I'm over letting him go really.

Sean Smith can play that same role he did.

My thing with keeping Carr, is the same with keeping Albert. We already know what he is here with what we have.

Carr was great across from Flowers. Smith can be that sure, but I would prefer to keep our own home grown guys.

I'm pretty sure the CP source was dependable. I apologize that I don't remember the exact story. But it sure sounded to me like Orton left because he knew the Chiefs had a boner for Cassel.

Carr... who knows. You can chalk up the Routt signing to the idea that Carr was out the door. Or maybe Pioli was just ****ing stupid. I still think it's the latter more than anything. I could see Pioli lowballing Carr then celebrating victory because Routt signed for a few less pennies.
