my xbox gives me error messages everytime I change over to watch a dvd...

I have to go in and clear the cache everytime.

Is there a longer term fix to this?

Anyone else have issues with this? This is my 3rd xbox don't want to get a 4th...

Just picked up Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings used at Best Buy. Pretty good so far. Combat mechanics seem pretty kick ass.

I loved that game. I played it on PC though. One of the better RPGs out there, IMO.

I'm considering getting my kids (ages 10 and 14) an XBox for Christmas

I noticed that Amazon has two bundles for $250 each
1) 250 GB with two games and one month of XBox Live Gold
2) 4GB with Kinect sensor, one game and a wireless control

which is the better deal?

I haven't started it yet, but I love that "Prepare to die" is on the back cover!

Haha, yup. The DLC edition that came out a few weeks ago is called the "Prepare to Die" edition. Fantastic game.
I think Saul and I are the only ones on this board that really got into it but feel free to PM me with any questions along the way. I still play this game on a weekly basis.

I think getting a larger hard drive for the second one would be cheaper than buying a kinect separate but I may have that backwards. That age of kids would like the kinect.

Well, shit. I got out of the asylum and to the first save point, attacked the depressed knight, and now whenever I respawn he kicks the shit out of me.

you're early enough where you can restart.. lol don't attack NPCs. Especially don't attack ones that can kick your ass.
That NPC actually isn't really needed - game wise. You can lure him by one of the dropoffs on the cliff and just kick him off (forward plus regular attack -- I believe it's forward plus RB on 360). Just keep kicking him till he falls off.. afterwards you can quit to the main menu and then reload and he'll be gone and you can collect his goodies (humanity). Also, your next area should be up the mountain side behind the bonfire. You'll see a small set of stairs going up the mountain if you look behind you. That's where you need to go, don't try to make it through the graveyard.
What character class did you start out with? I hope a Pyro.

I'll give kicking him off the ledge a try. He's killed me no less than 20 times so far. Otherwise, I'll just start over, that was already my plan.

Yes, started as a Pyro.

Whats a good first-person driving game? one of my favorite games back in the days of Sega Genesis was Road Rash II. Anything like that with these modern day consoles? Also, it has to be suitable for a 10 yr old.
