2nd Round pick Mitch Morse finally explained!....
This regime hasn't had a 2nd round pick since they arrived in KC. They simply didn't know what to do with the pick and panicked...

In this moment of panic, Reid just blurted out the first name that popped up in his head, as he always has a lineman on his mind at all times. Dorsey, still frozen like a deer staring in to headlights due to having his first ever 2nd round pick as a GM, chose not to dispute this pick.

... thus history was made with another Eric Fisher pick. We went with "upside and potentially" instead of a sure thing.

They're is no way the FO can defend that Morse was the BPA, and that's what really pisses me off since Dorsey prides himself to sticking to the draft board.

That's a dumb notion. They weren't hurried at all. They had lots of time to weigh their options. They made a calculated decision and whether it was right or not remains to be seen.
