Given that KC has nobody who can provide a consistent pass rush from the 3 tech, I'd love to see Seymour signed.

You're going to see a more constant pass rush from the DE simply based on scheme change alone. Bailey should be markedly better in this system than the five tech, two gap system employed by Crennel.

This.

They're now allowed to do it...

He's a much better FS option than Robinson (as far as his ability to cover.)
I don't know why we didn't do that to begin with...

I think the combination of this, another year of Poe maturing, and having Nico as the thumper in the middle and both our pass rush (Hali/Houston) and our run defense will improve.

I'm certainly not convinced on Wylie either, hence the ?

Guess for me i'd rather see him get a shot than just give it to dexter, who has already proven to me (and others) that he can't do it.

Alex Smith - QB - Chiefs
The 2014 third-round pick the Chiefs owe the 49ers as part of the Alex Smith trade will become a second-rounder if the Chiefs finish 8-8 or better.

I don't think we can afford to pick up Seymour or Woodson. Hopefully Albert gets a new contract so we can have some wiggle room once we sign the rookies.
