installing ram issues.

I am trying to go from 3 megs of ram to 8. I couldn't get the eight to work so i tried 6 and that worked. Now i am getting the bsod.I would like to try to get the 8 gig running or atleast 6 without bsod for memory dump.

Sounds like your motherboard takes triple-channel memory and you're trying to use dual-channel RAM sticks

Is this a kit?

If your trying to add ram to a system that already has ram, make sure your timings and speed are the same on both kinds of ram
