Walt wasn't scared in the least when he thought he was about to die. He played it off like he was but as soon as he got his message out to Jesse about going to kill Gale he was as cool as they come.
Because he knew that he was most likely going to survive after getting the message out. Before that he was begging for his life...offering to cook for free, even offering up Jesse's life, before eventually deciding to kill an innocent (which Gale most certainly was...he didn't deserve his fate and knew nothing of the Gus/Walt feud). I don't believe it was an act, it was pretty much the same desperation that he showed in this most recent episode (and throughout the entirety of this season).

Over the course of the 4 seasons, Walt has turned into an evil, egotistical, pathetic character. It's hard to see how he can redeem himself at this point.

Walt laughing at the end reminded me of the backstory of The Joker going crazy in The Killing Joke.

That whole final scene was ****ing epic.

Walt already made the call to the Vacuum Cleaner guy, so you know that he's going to call back and the Whites aren't going to answer. This might cause some sort of trouble, maybe between the Vacuum guy and Saul. Who knows.

Some gifs I found on reddit. These are not spoilers as long as you saw last night's episode.

Spoiler!

Hell, Walt's family is marked for death. The DEA is already in full-blown protection mode for Hank, and Gus knows it.

Walt and his family are ****ed.

I loved the camera work in the last shot. The camera pulled away from Walt laughing through the crawl space hole.

His world is closing in on him.

Gale knowingly works for a man who can and will kill people to keep his business running. He works for him to make large amounts of illegal drugs. I would not necessarily consider that an innocent person.

On the other point I guess it is just a matter of opinion. He offered up Jesse so that he would be allowed to call Jesse and tell him he needed to off Gale. They were not going to let him call him otherwise. He would have never given them Jesse. As shitty as he treats Jesse he has always kept him alive.

Man, I almost felt bad for Hector. He seemed so sad. Then I remembered that he was a scumbag piece of shit and then didn't care any longer.

My understanding was that Gale was not exactly privy to that side of the organization. He was paid to be a chemist and nothing else. He wasn't involved in the ruthless side of Gus' business, wanted nobody dead, and had no idea why he would be the target of a hit. Sure, he was a criminal, but as criminals go, he was pretty innocent.

Unfortunately, I have little doubt that Walt would offer up Jesse if it came down to saving his own skin...just like he did with Gale. Over the last few seasons, he has acted entirely out of self-interest...he's just not the same guy that he was in Season 1.

Hector is the asshole that drove Gus to do all of this. You could say he's getting what he deserves.

My guess is that Jesse takes out Gus when we all least expect it. Gus is beginning to trust Jesse, and now that Jesse will be taking Mike's place for a week or so, he will get the opportunity.
I suspect Gus will be killed over the next two episodes, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's at Jesse's hands at all. Even though Walt is a petty vindictive jerk that allowed his girlfriend to die, Jesse's loyalty to Walt remains fairly unwavering. If Jesse was capable of killing somebody like Gale to help Walt, he should be capable of doing the same with Gus.

It's really too bad, though, because Gus has really made this season great.

He was in the predicament he was in last season because he wouldn't give Jesse up. He's crossed Gus several times to protect Jesse, at risk of his own skin.
