30-30 wins. The delay on the grenade and the time it takes to pull and throw, then wait for the explosion dooms him.

My theory is that the match starts and Lonewolf tries a quick shot before they both take cover behind the trees. Once they're both behind the trees, the advantage lies with Halfcan at that distance. So unless Lonewolf can nail him quickly, he's in trouble. They're at a perfect distance for hand grenades.

I would retreat to increase the distance between us right away and then pick him off as he tried to get close enough for the grenades to be effective. My very first rifle was a Winchester lever action 30-30. I am deadly with that caliber of weapon.

Probably how it goes down.

I'd say 60-40 LoneWolf, but damn all he has to do is get close with a grenade.

Lonewolf fires off a shot immediately. It misses and Halfcan advances. He lobs a grenade a bit too soon and Lonewolf has the time to manuever away into a position of relative safety. Some woodland creatures lose their lives but Lonewolf is only slightly damaged.

During the excitement, Halfcan has advanced much closer. He attempts to cook a grenade a bit too long and it Jason Pierre-Pauls his hand. Halfcan falls to his knees and grasps the mangled paw. Lonewolf takes aim and puts Halfcan out of his pain.

Lonewolf is damaged but emerges as the victor.

30-30 is pretty darn accurate.
I see Lone hitting him as Halfcan pulls the pin on the grenade. With a bullet wound to the chest the grenade drops out of Halfcans reach and takes blows him to smithereens.

Had to take Lonewolf on this one. He’s a trained assassin with a 30-30.

When Lonewolf retreats he forces Halfcan to either do the same or charge him to get a throw off within range. If he retreats then Halfcan's grenades are worthless. That's already 30 yards he has to throw it, plus his retreat distance. If he charges then that's free shootin. Good luck, but I think Lonewolf takes this one.

And then steals all the soup recipes out of Halfcan's pocket and promptly flushes them down the closest toilet to ensure no legacy of Halfcan lives on in any form.

Goddamn. I looked it up and the kill radius on those grenades is 15 meters. That’s almost 50 feet! Still going Lone here but I’m betting he takes some shrapnel.
