Conspiracy, the Paranormal, the Unexplained and the Esoteric

Figure this would have a better chance of surviving in the Media Center than on the main page, and I'll be adding youtube and podcast links from time to time as I come across them, so it fits.

This has been something that's interested me from a very young age, all aspects of mysterious stuff, whether we're talking forgotten or forbidden archeology or civilization (Atlantis, pre-colombian exploration of america, etc), unexplained events (like Tunguska in 1908, the lost Roanoke Island colony, etc), paranormal events like ghosts, the study of ESP and that sort of thing, conspiracy (ranging from JFK to stuff like the perpetration of the drug war and the infilitration of the media by US intelligence) and, of course, UFOs (which to me means "unexplained" not "extraterrestrial" but that's a whole other topic).

Anything could show up, and everybody should feel free to add whatever they like. Just try to keep it as civil and respectful as possible. This is not intended to be a DC thread; it's as much for entertainment purposes as it is to solve all the world's mysteries.

**Although if anybody posts anything from Third Phase of Moon they should probably expect me to kick them in the balls.**

Few things I like to watch or listen to in no particular order (most of this can be found on itunes as well...):

The Paracast
Binall of America
The Gralian Report
The Paranormal Report
Dark City
Radio Misterioso
Open Minds (mostly their podcast)

That's it for now, just wanted to get this started. Been thinking about doing it for a while...

Anyone else listen to Darkness Radio...?

Probably my favorite paranormal podcast around...variety of topics and it's almost always super interesting.

Love Dave Schrader too, one of my fav. personalities in the paranormal field...has a very open mind but is also a skeptic on a lot of things.

Yeah, I do. Same problem there that I have with coast to coast, that being they often cover new agey stuff I have zero interest in, but I always catch true crime Tuesdays, the Friday show and then usually one or two other shows, as long as it's not talking about past life, nde, astrology or numerology, consciousness, that kind of stuff.

Art Bell's new show has been good, too.

Me too. I would almost bet that there is something happening on the moon. Why would we build a floating space station instead of a moon base? And why are they thinking about sending people to Mars to try and habitats when the moon is closest and would seemingly be an easier pose to put people on?

Do you realize how much farther away the moon is compared to where the ISSS orbits?

The ISSS orbits at about 340km away from Earth.

The moon on the other hand, orbits at 384,000km away from Earth.

You could fit every single planet in our solar system in the space between the Earth and the moon.

It would be exponentially more costly to try to deliver supplies that far. Also, they'd have to develop some sort of large cargo craft capable of landing, unloading the cargo, and then taking back off. The space shuttle was easy because it can just open it's bay doors while in orbit and unload the pieces.

Mars actually has somewhat of an atmosphere. The moon has none. Also, we've already put people on the moon. It's time for the next step.

As I recall, NASA recently published a study indicating that a return mission to the moon would cost 10% of what they previously projected, roughly ten billion dollars, and would fit within their current budgetary restrictions. So we may be back on the moon sooner than later. Other nations are expected to head there as well. Which may or may not explain our newfound willingness to go.

Art Bell's show from last Wednesday was about TWA flight 800, one of the first major conspiracies of my adult life - I always believed it was shot down by friendly fire and to this day I swear that initial coverage of the event featured multiple witnesses talking about missiles, but after the first few hours the cover up was in place and we eventually got the 'official' story. Fast forward to Wednesday and his guests lay out basically exactly what I've always believed as well as release video for the first time that was acquired from the FBI via FOIA in April that purportedly shows a missile as well as the aftermath of the plane's destruction (but not the moment of impact). It's about what you'd expect from an amateur video shot almost 20 years ago that was initially focused on the moon, but if it's what it's said to be (official flight 800 case file video from the FBI) it could be a big deal.

I was on the gun looking down and the village whenever he start tapping my foot really fast..as I slowly turn and ask what was going on I see 7 lights going above us..it was low enough that the lights were lighting up the ground some..it was completely quiet..and it was shaped like the top 2/3 of a triangle

It was slowly moving forward towards the direction of the village..it was there for around a minute and then it was gone..the lights the shape just gone..after it was gone I asked Moose what exactly he had seen before he got a hold of me..all he said was he was sitting there looking around..he flipped up his NVDs and went to get a protein bar and as he ate it he saw the ground glowing and he looked up and it was above us

We agreed on the approximate size and shape of it..he called base on the radio asking if any aircraft were in out area..we were told no and asked why we were calling in since radio check wasn't for another hour..we told then we were positive of aircraft in the area and we're needing confirmation of it..we were told no aircraft
Quick question. Isn't the top 2/3 of a triangle, a triangle? I'm confused.
