The Atlantic: "Reckoning with Bill Clinton's Sex Crimes"

UH-OH! Liberal publication is now making my point. CP dooshbags, ready to pull out "whataboutism!!!!" on The Atlantic???

Bill Clinton: A Reckoning
Feminists saved the 42nd president of the United States in the 1990s. They were on the wrong side of history; is it finally time to make things right?

Caitlin FlanaganNov 13, 2017

Yet let us not forget the sex crimes of which the younger, stronger Bill Clinton was very credibly accused in the 1990s. Juanita Broaddrick reported that when she was a volunteer on one of his gubernatorial campaigns, she had arranged to meet him in a hotel coffee shop. At the last minute, he had changed the location to her room in the hotel, where she says he very violently raped her. She said that she fought against Clinton throughout a rape that left her bloodied. At a different Arkansas hotel, he caught sight of a minor state employee named Paula Jones, and, Jones said, he sent a couple of state troopers to invite her to his suite, where he exposed his penis to her and told her to kiss it. Kathleen Willey said that she met him in the Oval Office for personal and professional advice and that he groped her, rubbed his erect penis on her, and pushed her hand to his crotch.

It was a pattern of behavior; it included an alleged violent assault; the women involved had far more credible evidence than many of the most notorious accusations that have come to light in the past five weeks. But Clinton was not left to the swift and pitiless justice that today’s accused men have experienced. Rather, he was rescued by a surprising force: machine feminism

@iowahawkblog

I find it shocking how Democrats are slapping around and discarding Bill Clinton after having their way with him. not sure where they learned that

I just can't fathom who people who argued on behalf of Bill Clinton and muddied his accusers 20-30 years ago had the nerve to get upset about what Trump said on a bus.

Ironically, in a frenzy of accusations and discussions of so many other liberal elite and their exploitation of women and sexual issues in exchange for power would be relevant today....cough...Intern-Monica L.....POTUS....

Liberals and feminsts literally defended an accused rapist when it suited their needs and worked pretty hard to try to discredit all of them, they turn their eyes when it's big Hollywood.....but Trump said....

The lines of defense to any sort of objection or misgiving about Trump are pretty well defined -

1. State that the claim can't be true because of the source (standard ad hominem, genetic fallacy, i.e. 'Fake news.' etc.) When this is no longer tenable,
2. State that the claim should ignored because a similar misdeed was committed in the past by someone else. (tu quoque)
3. Various forms of projection. Those who are being wronged were deserving of it, equivocate to a general institutional or societal guilt, retributive "fight fire with fire" equivocation, two wrongs make a right, etc.
4. 'Whatever it takes' composition fallacy. If it drives the libs/cucks/establishment nuts, then it must be good.
5. Red herring. Attempt to shift to an unrelated issue.

These don't always go in exactly the same order, but the only common thread is that at no point can any consideration be offered as to whether the objection is actually true or false, unless that information comes from pet sources (ingroup bias)

Even if that were true, it has no bearing on whether the claims against Roy Moore or anyone else are true or false.

If we're interested in that.

There's a lotta SOBs on here no doubt. Direckshun is the worst offender on this topic tho. Dude goes around the forum lecturing guys on locker room talk, and being disrespectful to women. Comes on DC tho and never says a word about all the Dem abusers.

The. Worst.

It's amazing how much more powerful the individual is now that we can get news almost directly through the internet.

But what about Hillary? She was around the last 15 years no? She attacked all his accusers, while simultaneously demanding "women be heard". It was a laughable shameless hypocrisy. One that Liberals were buying even up till November 2016

Very true.

Not does it change PB's point that most everyone screaming and crying about Roy Moore didn't give a shit about what Bill Clinton did then or now.

Selective outrage isn't limited to the left but its sure one of their favorite things.

Yes, it would be hypocritical for a Clinton surrogate who defended him to then be outraged at someone they don't like politically doing the same thing. It would be hypocritical for that person to be outraged at Moore, or whomever.

But the fact that it would be hypocritical for some people to criticize him does not mean it is hypocritical for anyone to criticize him. It does not mean he is innocent. It does not mean the situation should be ignored. It does not mean he is qualified for public office. It should be evaluated in the same way it would have if Clinton had never existed.

The sad irony is that many of those accusing the left of selective outrage are very obviously guilty of doing it themselves, by being outraged by Clinton but not Moore.

The real question in this sad situation is why BannonTrump continues to insist on losing seats with inviable candidates.
