What is my doctor doing? - POLL
I've been sitting here waiting to see the doctor for almost an hour and a half. I was one of the first people in the door this morning, and no other patients have been taken back to see this particular physician. What could he be doing?

Doctor's offices open early and pile the patients in. The doctor doesn't get there until much later. But it's better than afternoon appointments, where he is backed up from all day.

I got some bloodwork done Monday and the black nurse at Labcorp stuck the needle so deep in my right arm she hit a nerve. It was like a hot electric shock. She went directly in the center like she was shooting me up with heroin. All the prior bloodwork I have ever had they took if from the right portion of my arm much closer to the outside.

My right arm is sore and I have shock and pain that is traveling down my forearm from the inside of my right arm down to the outside of my palm along my thumb and to my thumb on the outside. She also left a good bruise that I never get.

I'm so pissed as this never happened in the 70 times or more I have had blood work and the last nurse was an Indian women who I never even felt the needle.

I called my doctor and if there is any permanent damage I'm calling a lawyer.

Has anyone ever had a nerve hit from a bloodtest and how long did the pain last?

I have really deep veins, and lots of times they have to stick me three or four times before they can get a draw. Two days ago, it was a four shot sitting. Two in the left arm, one in the right, then they finally took it out of my right hand. Those hurt like a bitch. And the flu shot they gave me put a big welt in my arm. Still sore two days later. My advice to you young bucks. Don't get old, and try to be as healthy as you can.

I'm lucky, my veins are all close to the surface and 99.9% of the time it's easy peasy. This time the nurse really screwed up and my wrist and forearm is killing me this morning. Like lightning bolts and pain each time I fully extend my right arm. I use my right arm to spray marking paint on properties as my job. I'm going back to my doctor to see what I can do and calling an attorney to be on standby in case it doesn't heal. Really sucks!
