This is the one with the 64 oz. (1/2 gallon) container, variable 2hp speed controls.

If you've never used one of these you will be amazed and what it can do.

Makes the most awesome green smoothies, ice cream, peanut butter, margaritas, etc.

There's a reason why Starbucks and many of the other commercial establishment use this machine.

We have a Vitamix, and it is worth every penny. Probably the most used appliance in our kitchen outside of the fridge.

Made this last night.

Turned out quite well, was my first attempt at soup cooked by the blender. I was steamy hot after 4 minutes, but still had a bit of a raw onion flavor to it, so spun it for another 3 minutes. It was at a low simmer by then. Nice tomato soup.

Yeah, sounds like a bad investment.

Coincidentally, I bought mine four years ago to the day, used it almost daily for the first year and average 2-3 times/week since. And there are things it does that even a nice Kitchenaid simply cannot do.
