The state of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now what...?

With so much anger built-up with this current regime, I can't help but cheer for them after wanting them to fail miserably.

What kind of state is this team and coaching staff in who witnessed this happen if reports are true? Crennel...a defensive coordinator by heart, obviously spent a lot of one-on-one time with this troubled individual. What is he thinking? Scott Pioli...there are banners flying over the stadium calling for your head, and now one of your men has taken the life of a mother and then himself. What is running through his head. Same goes for others who witnessed this tragedy. How do you continue doing your job in a professional manner...?

I have never been in such a situation, but it is one thing to witness someone take their own life, but it's another to witness a friend take such a cowardly route.

SOC...what now? I support the donation idea thrown around in the other threads. IMO, there should be no more banners in the air for the remainder of the season. Do we now go full-homer and support this team regardless of who is navigating the ship?

Finally...if Pioli and [somehow] Crennel return next season, do you support them after what they have witness has humans.

I could have thrown this in either of the two shooting threads, but I wanted to hear your thoughts on where you stand today with the Chiefs. Are you rooting for them to win the remainder of the games this season and whatever happens with our draft position happens....? Is this a matter of football vs real-life to you and as a fan, you still wish for failure in the FO and the #1 draft pick. Or are you somewhere in the middle?

I duno...curious to hear how others feel right now about the state of our franchise given this morning's tragic events. Where do you go from here...?

Yeah I just don't think beyond adding stress to his life that you can. In the end though, the mind is a crazy thing.

I absolutely despise Scott Pioli. The date of his impending dismissal will be forever etched in my mind like the birthday of a loved one, or the end of a war, etc.

That being said, a 25-yr. old man with presumably quite a bit to live for, got so mad because his girlfriend stayed out a bit too late with one of her friends after a concert that he killed the mother of his infant child and then blew his own brains out. This is just an "adult" who was either mentally ill or astonishingly immature dealing with something in a horrifically stupid, tragically short-sighted way.

Hard to pin that on Pioli. I'm pretty sure it's not something you see coming in a pre-draft interview.

I was not saying such either. I was saying that a normal everyday guy on the street could get fired and go in and shoot the place up and then take his own life. I don't think him being fired would be the ONLY reason he came back and shot up a building. More that goes on in a situation like that most times.

I am not calling it a work place shooting either..

NOTHING is going to be positive for the community and players at noon tomorrow.

If the shooting had happened Wednesday? Maybe.

But right before their pre-game walkthrough? Gimme a break. Playing a GAME right now is not galvanzing, uplifting, or positive.

That is the point. You have to treat every situation and be prepared for the worse.

Everyone is different. Because you get fired from your job is sometimes the trigger not the overwhelming full reason for either.
I don't blame the chiefs or Pioli..

I was just comparing it to an everyday guy that gets fired and then snaps and shoots up the building. I think in that case he snaps at being fired and shoots up the building. Alot of people say it is works fault.

I say no that was the trigger that caused it. If you go back and shoot up a building you have other issues going on in your life.

I guess that was my point.. sorry for the confusion if any

He didn't shoot up his "workplace".

He went to his workplace after shooting up his HOME.

No, I hope not. A player, a Chief murdered someone. Doesnt change a thing. Pioli, Crennel, and any other tie to NE need to be GONE. We were once a respected organization. Now our players are literally killing themselves and others. Sorry, but you as a leader are responsible for your "employees", Their actions and reputations. Pioli made a big deal about the "right 53" and Belcher was one of them.
