I'd actually be semi on board with Romo coming to KC, even though I think there's a good chance he ends up being a broke dick. The window with the current team is closing and no QB drafted where the Chiefs are picking is likely to be an impact player soon enough.

Why would he think that ? Because he reads a Chiefs message board and knows the fans are frustrated with Smith or because he has inside knowledge from a chiefs insider. Does he think we keep foles and give him a shot ? Because that's all we got.

The Chiefs are the 6th youngest NFL team heading into 2017 and they're likely to get younger in 2017, not older.

Their "window" will be open for a long, long time.

Well, I think if we deal him to the Jets we should receive a 1 and 3 for compensation. Can we convince them Smith is elite.

I'm not sure the NFL will love Romo once he's out of Dallas.

I don't mean to undermine your philosophy, but Berry is older than Poe.

As a man in jets country, I can only imagine what jets fans would say after years of making fun of him. Not that they should talk.

I'm not a Romo fan, but I am a fan of anything that hastens Alice's departure. Romo is probably not the answer, but Alice is definitely not the answer.

The average age of the team isn't necessarily a significant factor. Ramik Wilson is younger than DJ, but the team doesn't get better if DJ retires. Between age and FA, combined with 10 win seasons instead of 4 win seasons, the team may have trouble replacing guys they lose. There's a reason dynasties are so rare. There's a degree of luck in landing a bunch of guys that are good and cheap at the same time.
