Should the Chiefs take a chance on Dez Bryant?
He's hungry and wants to be on the field and prove the doubters wrong. Do you take a flyer on him for a reasonable cost - considering the Hill situation? |

My first reaction was, "No."
Then I thought about it some more and altered my response to "Hell freaking no." FAX |

I would seriously take Jordy Nelson way before I took Dez Bryant.

My take on Dez:
Not going into his team chemistry issues and what not, but just looking at his physical skills. Pros: He's big and he uses his size to great effect. He's a better-than-average battler in the vertical for jump ball type situations. Better than Michael Irvin was in his prime. Cons: He's lost a couple steps. He doesn't have the ability to create space for himself anymore. He's not a good route runner, never was. He literally only has one trick, which is to run down the sideline and try to beat defenders in the vertical. He's not a crossing route guy, or a good blocker, etc. Based on just his physical attributes, I'd say "pass." |

along the line of Why do WR's have such big egos. Most only see the ball about 6--10 plays a game and expect millions. Score 1 or 2 TDs and expect millions. Others do a lot more.

I thought he wasn't going to be ready until 2020? In any case this is a hard pass from me. Usually I would say low risk high reward, but I'm so convinced that he's finished I don't see the point.
