Ad Blockers
Ok I have a small project I just finished up for a client and wanted to test it here.

First a poll to see who has an adblocker installed and second a test to see if you can see the text at the top of the page asking you to Whitelist ChiefsPlanet so I have money to buy drinks pay for the server.

So, what say you?

I blocked that URL but that doesn't usually work, I am searching for the specific ad to block it now.

I always access the site via iPhone 5c with no issues. But I'm accessing via a laptop for the first time in a very long time and, holy ****, the popups and redirects. Some Roxblox fighting game shit, a "PC repair live help" window which if clicked upon would probably result in me waking up in a tub full of ice missing a kidney, some bullshit "survey", FanDuel...

If you are getting redirects that may be the Google issue, if you are getting popups than it is FAR more likely that you have malware on that machine. Plenty of malware "triggers" off certain ads and/or sites. Get Malwarebytes and run a scan then come back to the site. If you still have issues, post here so I can see if we still have a Google problem.

Ok, it looks like the softwareupdater thing is malware and not a hijacked ad.

Here are instructions to remove it.

If you are wondering why it only shows up on CP, it is likely that it is keying off from ads we display that you aren't getting on other sites. if you went to a ton of other Chiefs forums that used Google Adsense than you'd likely see the problem there as well.

Can someone who is having the issue try this and tell me how it goes?

I got a virus from this site last night - no joking - first time ever.

I just did a system restore and it's seemed to wash it away. It appeared to start w/ the popups on CP and it was sudden and surprising - I felt 'under attack.'
