Alex Smith Appreciation Thread

The wide receivers are garbage, the line sucks and yet he still somehow manages to march this pile of crap up and down the field.

AND TO ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS A PROBLEM - YOU'RE AND IDIOT!

Clay, you have a gif of that 3rd and goal from the 4 with a minute left that was a free play with the offsides? Was watching on a stream, but it looked like he had open receivers (especially wide left). Can't believe he just gave up and didnt take a shot.

Can't always go off of the tv view either. All this is happening fast, most of the time in under 4 seconds. If a receiver gets separation from the defender after the qb has already looked his way while he was blanketed and then went to his next progression and looked elsewhere on the field its kinda a moot point. Just saying the tv view can be deceiving.

I still don't get it why we didn't draft Kelvin Benjamin or a WR in later rounds. Dorsey must've knew that Bowe's suspension would void his guarantees. Could've drafted Kelvin and released Bowe. Save tons of $$$$ in the process.

A couple things:

1) 3rd and 24 and you let a guy go up the middle for 23 fuggin' yards? On the ground? The defense screwed the pooch hard on that.

2) Yes, we got screwed on that fumble that was not a fumble...and the off sides thing.

3) Santos looking more and more like a huge stupid move. Add to the list...

4) Alex was good yesterday. Solid. Even brilliant at times. But he did have some wide open horrible throws.

5) You can't blame the O line today. Damn fine job.

6) Jamaal. Goddammit...

Good notes, yeah. The OL did have a large number of screen and run block fails, as expected. That's got to get better.. looked a bit better already from week 1 to 2.

yeah, he was awesome

no tds, 17 pts, failed 4th quarter comeback, rushed throw under no pressure on final play...that's cheap for $68 mill

0-2
1-3 td/int ratio
63 QB rating

Chiefs fans masturbate furiously to the sweet sound of losing...it's not possible to set a lower bar now that failing = success for a QB

meanwhile, the QB that actually helped his team win completed 80% of his passes and threw 3 tds....

So I'm just trying to grasp the sheer idiocy of this post.
JC gets injured early, Bowe looks like he's moving in slow motion, and then there's Avery....
Are you trying to compare what Peyton did with a stable of offensive weapons to what Smith did with this band of misfits? I'm not saying Smith is amazing, or was great, but he kept the chains moving for a good part of the game. With his feet and arm. Last week everyone bitched cuz we didn't run. Now we run (which is what we need to do to stay competitive and keep 5head off the field) and you're bitching he didn't throw a td? Nobody expected the game to even be close, we keep it close with a chance to win at the end, against one of the best teams in the NFL and "we masterbate to losing?

A QB appreciation thread when your team loses, scores only 17 points and the QB doesn't throw a TD pass?

i get it, actually scoring and winning is not the measurement for smith

we're 0-2, he's got a 1-3 td/int ratio and a bottom 25% QB rating...and just failed to come through in the fourth quarter

but hey let's all sit around and talk about how awesome he is, while he counts coin

Right cuz I said he was great! Don't worry talking out of both sides of your mouth is commonplace on here. Run the ball more. Why do we not have any passing tds? Smith is a serviceable qb IMO. He's not elite, franchise, or great. But neither is his supporting cast!
