Wet Hot American Summer

I'm so excited to see the 1st season. Given the cast, I would have never imagined they would be able to make a series because of scheduling conflicts.

All the episodes, will be available on Netflix on July 31st.

If you haven't seen the movie, definitely watch it before you watch the show.

You mean last year, or the one that just came out past weekend?

Because, yeah. It's not the most heavily promoted vehicle out there.

The latest. I watched last year's...last year. I didn't know there was a new season until I was on netflix yesterday for something else and the promo autoplayed. Even then I wasn't entirely sure it was a second season.

It was, . . OK. Lots to laugh at as always, but a tad more going through the motions than before. There was a ton of scheduling issues [which to be fair, they treated comically usually]. And someone on the writing staff [pssst, MIB] exorcized a great deal of Republican angst with the Ronald Reagan and GWI subplots. A lot of the bigger laughs are in the smaller things [retrofitting new castmembers into the storyline, explicitly nodding when they cut corners, etc].

I'm through the first two episodes and have been laughing pretty consistently. Glad it's back.

I don't know, didn't find it to be all that good. Even though I enjoyed the previous season and the movie.

There wasn't enough Paul Rudd this season, he was funny and played his character perfectly. The love interest writing/scenes was pretty bad, other than kulak trying to lose his virginity.

For me this was a lot like the return of Arrested Development.

It was exactly what I wanted and when I got it I was pretty "meh..."

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
