I have no problem with criticizing guys who deserve criticism, but this is WAY over the top.

James Shields is pitching like dogshit right now. But he is neither overpaid or a flash in the pan. He has earned his money. I also don't think you can call a guy a choke artist who is getting lit up every time he goes out there. He just sucks right now, and I imagine he'd be the first one to say it.

I think Shields may have something physical going on. He's the kind of guy who would not say anything and try to fight through it. His last few starts he hasn't been himself. But I'm not going to bag on him either. He turned the attitude of our pitching staff around totally. They're no longer pussies because of Shields.
