Can we talk about how bad our radio crew is?

So I'm listening to the game today, which is very rare for me...

"Keep the feet-- keep the foot on the foot feet" - Mitch Holthus trying to say "keep the foot on the pedal"

Kendall Gammon can't go an entire sentence without stumbling over his words.

And that "put the hammer down" thing at the start of the 4th is so ****ing lame.

Does anybody listen regularly? Are they always this bad?

Thank you.

He's allowed to be a (at times) corny, cheerleader. That's what the Chiefs want. And Kevin Harlan was the same. And Wayne Laravie too.

And most of the fans love it.
Nothing wrong with any of this.

He doesn't sugarcoat losses on the post game show..

I listen every week over the computer. (although I did not watch/listen today)

Yes, he is a homer. Isn't that want you want in a radio person? He is supposed to have insight in the team that the TV guys do not have. There are corny phrases. Put the hammer down is lame. Always has been since he said it. Maybe during the 2-14 year.

Gammon is ok. But not Romo. He has big shoes to fill with Lenny being done. He does use penetration a few times a game.

Think of it this way------
Would you rather:
Listen to Dan Fouts
Listen to Mitch Holtus
Listen to nothing but your own mumbling during the game

BTW-again-KCFX stream is really far behind the game on Sunday Ticket.
KYNT in Yankton SD is about .5-1 second behind the game. How can that be?

thanks-glad we won today.

I agree. Strangely enough, ive never through "Oh BABY WHAT A PLAY" was all that great. But Harlan rode that for two decades. Although he was much better than Mitch has been.

Mitch used to be very good at what "I" want from my announcer. Down and distance, time and score. How the O or D is lined up etc. Mitch is still pretty good at that. But the ridiculousness of his other phrases is just bad.

Back in the day, when he was the voice of the Cats, he was really good. Loved him.

Yeah...different strokes.

The Pioli era reached deep down inside me and strangled my inner Chiefs child.

Harlan and Holthus must have been out late drinking last night. Harlan couldnt get the first down correct at least 3 times today among out mistakes. The Rich Gannon funk has rubbed off on him. Holthus is the lovable homer who will have a job as long as he wants here. Gamman was a bad sideline reporter who got promoted because Bill Maas went nuts.

I'd rather listen to that, rather than Rich Gannon root on "his" team the entire game. It's obvious as fluck who he's rooting for and annoying as hell.

When he says "We need to...." while the Faid was on the field. There were lots of subtle comments throughout the game that made his bias obvious.
