He's got a helluva point on that episode, though. I'll give him that.

The good news is it sounds like it will be more like Colin Quinn's old show, Tough Crowd.

Also, Wilmore isn't Greer, and this is headed up the Stewart and TDS makers, unlike DAG's show, so I have a lot more faith in it having a better chance of being good, but following up Colbert is almost impossible, so you got to hedge your expectations either way.

So this was a pretty great first season. It is a bit of a shame that the last big thinkpiece of the season was about the lottery. I have the same feeling about the lottery as I do the pay day loans: they are both a stupid person's tax. Other than those two topics, I have loved every thinkpiece they have done this season and look forward to next year's season.

I don't think so at all. He does really juvenile bits like gekos ****ing in space but he also does in depth serious journalism on topics not on the front page.
This is getting to be my favorite new show this year.

After watching him fill in for Stewart, I quickly realized I liked watching him more than I watching Stewart.

The writing for LWLN is perfectly tailored for him. But man, the interview segments on TDS where he 'free-wheeled' it, those were fawning, nearing in on Farley-esque. Chris Farley - Interview Paul Mc Cartney (SNL) - MyVideo

So all the episodes from the last month have been pretty bad. They just havn't been funny or presented the topic is a bad way. I am all for transgender rights, but to criticize anyone who is not familiar with the movement for asking questions is terrible. Last night's Stadium one is a perfect example of my biggest problem with the show lately. I agree that public funds should not be used for private stadiums, but to say every stadium has no financial impact to the area is ludicrous.
TL;DR: I am falling out of love with this show.

Yep. THe cardinals stadium and Coyotes arena was just farm land before they were built. The whole coyotes thing was taken way out of context. The crazy fan was criticizing the mayor for fleecing the team for gear and tickets, while claiming the team is fleecing the city. The city is over paying for management sure, but IceArizona has doubled the amount of non hockey events for the areana and the arena is making a profit for the first time for the city. Coyotes problems are more along the lines that it is a poorly run franchise who moved the team away from the demographics of their fans.
