I think Peyton did that, one time, in his entire career. Other when he was tired of getting blasted by that "idiot kicker" ... he threw him under the bus, too.

I think you guys are taking this GROSSLY out of context.

Russell throws a game losing INT on the 1 yard line in the Super Bowl. This is personal adversity. Russell, a man of devout faith, looks to God for the purpose of this adversity. He concludes that God is using him to show how one can fall and also get back up. He's saying, "God wants me to fight through this adversity, stand up, learn, and show everyone when the going gets tough, the tough get going." Or something like that.

I don't think he meant "well God wanted me to lose the Super Bowl to punish my teammates for having pre-marital sex, so I threw the interception because God told me I had to and I need teammates who don't have sex before marriage."

I think it's more logical to conclude someone is insane and that teammates probably hate him despite there being absolutely no evidence to support anything other than the exact opposite of those two claims just based off of the fact he's waiting until marriage to have sex and because he's a man of devout faith
