Who warned Hank about the brothers in season 3?

For some reason I keep thinking Gomez is connected in some way. I am probably way off, though.

Well, it looks like Skylar is all-in - suggesting the Code Red/Old Yeller treatment for Jesse.

I'm just saying he has legal protection to not say anything. Did you miss the comment about a mighty shield? It's not about what crimes he's done or continues to do, it's about what he can and can't be cimpelled to do for law enforcement.

I think where Walt "really lives" is his pride about having become a self-made drug kingpin. Remember when Hank thought Gale Boetticher was "Heisenberg"? Walt was incensed by the idea of anyone else getting credit for the empire he built. Had he left well enough alone, he probably never becomes a person of interest in this case.

Walt's hubris over his empire has gotten in the way of walking away unscathed at least twice over the course of the series. Could Jesse try to take credit for everything and claim to be Heisenberg?

I've never really understood why some people hate Hank. I always liked Hank and I've rooted for him from the very first episode. A friend of mine told me that she hates Hank because she grew up in a family of cops and that Hank reminded her of her arrogant family members, so I suppose I understand where she is coming from.

The other thing I don't understand is how anyone can STILL root for Walt. Walt is an evil bastard and he needs to be put down.
I don't get some of you guys. Hank is the only person with morals that aren't severely compromised other than Jr.

Walter is a POS. He's was a whiner and pussy before his cancer and he became an evil murdering scumbag after he decided to start manufacturing drugs.

I guess people love the anti hero. He's smart but he's a scumbag. Skylar, Marie and all the rest of them are just not very good people. No nobility at all.

At least Hank was willing to face the music and take responsibility for attacking Jesse.

It's all going to go badly for them. There will be no Shawshank ending

You were supposed to hate Hank at the beginning when he was a stereotypical racist, macho blowhard, but beginning late in season 3 he slowly morphed into a likable character for the audience. Last night's episode displayed this more than anything else:

1) Walt's tornado of destruction removes the humanity of everyone in its path except for...

2) Jesse

Jesse remains a redeemable character in a way that no other major character is. Hank wants vengeance irrespective of what happens to Jessie, and Skyler wants protection at all costs.

Walt's attachment to Jessie is his last vestige of humanity, and with the goading of Skyler, Saul, and the random placement of a menacing dude, he's giving the signal that he's letting go of that too.

I thought it was funny that Hank could tell through Jesse's story that Walt cares for him but Jesse still couldn't see it. I'm still waiting for the Czechs to get involved. That's when the real shit is going to go down, I think.

We're talking about what Jesse can do to Saul though. Not Hank.

Hank admitted he didn't care whether Jesse died. He's been a douchebag from the beginning of the series. He has flawed morals also.

And no one is rooting for Walter, so your 2nd paragraph makes no sense. Most people are rooting for Jesse.

I don't think you can "root" for Walt, but there's also the urge to want to see how/if he gets away with all of this....esp after the cat's out of the bag considering all he's caused and been through up til this point.

He has new hair and glasses in that new town. He comes back though for his money and the ricin, when his neighbor sees him walking out of the abandoned house she looks like she's seen a ****ing ghost.

I think he fakes his death and takes one of those clean slate deals w/ Saul's guys. I mean how else does it explain the neighbor seeing him and her reacting the way she did?

I'm still rooting for Walt. Call me crazy, but I STILL don't see him as this purely evil monster that everyone makes him out to be.

He could've put a bullet in Pinkman's head at the first sign of trouble. He hasn't done that. I want people to stop pretending he's openly hurt people he cares about.
