ESPN Audibles talking Chiefs

Right now. Everyone, even Herm is saying that the Chiefs are going to challenge the Broncos for the AFC West this upcoming season. Herm thought we drafted well. At least we're getting some love from ESPN. Haters, it's time to hate.

And let me tell you something right the **** now: there better not be even a MINISCULE "banging of the table" for next year's shitty, shitty, shitty, worthless QB class, or I will make it point to punch that marble-mouthed mother****er right in his snout before I die.

No player that was a FA would have done that for Indianapolis last year. It took the rookie QB who is the second coming of Peyton Manning to do that sooooooooooo.

I think we underachieved greatly last season. The turnovers. Horrible coaching. Cassel and Quinn. Berry hitting his stride late. DJ completely losing his discipline for a while. Soft ass non-attacking defensive scheme. Cassel and Quinn.

If they turn Houston and Hali loose instead of dropping them in coverage the majority of the time, and ATTACK, this D will look like a completely different unit.
We need to bring the heat so the dbs dont have to cover all day.

If Reid can find a way to put up points, and with Bowe and Charles, he damn well better be able to field a respectable offense, we could very well get to have our shit pushed in during the WC round. I think the D is about get nasty on folks.
9-7 would not shock me at all. Ive seen teams with less talent win 10-11 games while catching a few breaks.

If our D was on par with the 9ers shouldnt we expect 12-13 wins and a conf. champ. game. That is what A. Smith game managed them to.

I'm not going all "true fan" but I think we can compete this year, not for a Super Bowl but a wild card spot. And that beats 2-14. I think this coaching will make a big difference with this team. It didn't really have it here during the pioli era. We had it one year with weis on offense and then he left and we didn't play the easiest schedule the next 2 years, so we were ****ed. Now we have a competent and the best staff since the vermeil era. Wish we had a better QB obviously but let's see what happens. I think the D will be much improved and these players will be utilize correctly

How many times was our defense completely screwed by our offense turning it right back over? That was god awful to watch sometimes (most the time).

Having an offense sustain long drives instead of turning the ball over does make a big difference.

Shit, we have pro-bowlers on defense as well.

It's hard to underestimate just how bad that coaching was last season, in my opinion.
How many times did Romeo respond to questions by simply saying, "I don't know," or " I'm not really sure.".

I like the guy but you could tell he had no business being HC and the rumor was he has been having additional health problems which I hope getting away from the obscene hours the NFL coaches put in will help improve his health. He kinda got sucked into coming back and I don't think had any keen interest in becoming the HC but did so bc the players responded and like him as the interim guy and he was being a team player for the organization. Apparently, he needed to finish out the season as head coach or it would have made a pretty negative difference in his NFL retirement, pension, and health coverage, and so Clark deferred on making a coaching change during the season- which I think is the loyal and right thing to do because we weren't going to right the ship anyway.

You can knock him and say he was a bad coach, but I don't think that's what he really wanted coming out of retirement, and the blame falls more to Scott & to a degree Clark for signing off on the move simply because Pioli wanted a familiar cronie he thought he could control as his puppet after Haley told him to **** off and started doing his own thing.

Ya, I don't get the misplaced hate. He was the one of very few that was very vocal in thinking the Chiefs needed to blow things up and toss aside old and out of their prime vets to focus on youth and new talent- something that was fought against by the front office looking to maintain the .500 hovering record bc of fear of a rebuild and a few shitty seasons, which we got anyway.

Maybe I don't want him on the sideline as my head guy on Sunday, but he's a lot better than most of the color and commentary guys at ESPN. Not to mention, he one of the few national guys that actually pays attention to what KC is really doing and still talks with many sources in the Chiefs organization still so he has a bit better understanding of their plan and process then most national TV and radio guys.

Perfect no, but what has he said lately or in a while that causes sure ire by some? His local segments in KC radio are more illuminating than most. Or, maybe people just want more Racin' Boys, Jim pushing his diet cookies, Smoke n BBQ, or Stan Weber droning on in his monotone boring segments -

Harlan is so busy and long removed he has no special insight anymore with the Chiefs, and Holtus is so ra-ra cheerleader that his credibility is crap because he overhypes the positive and is rarely critical of anything to the point that his opinion has the about as much bite and candor as a toothless $2 whore.

I admit to not watching many eagles games, but I do recall a game against the eagles and kc was cleaning their clocks, until halftime. Reid had to have a part in he halftime adjustments, at least that's what I'm telling myself.....
