****Tigers @ Royals 07/20 GDT****

Duffy takes the mound in a pretty tough pitching battle against Michael Fulmer.

We can beat these pukes. We got momentum now. I trust Duffy.

Date night so I watched the game late or DVR. Gratifying win. Coupled with last night, this is the type of win that can send them on a streak the right way. Not that concerned with Duffy, seems like it would have been an absolute shit night to pitch. Big series from a move the needle perspective starts tomorrow. Kennedy has pitched himself into getting the benefit of the doubt against the carcass of James Shields(still love ya, though. For 2014 and all), and Vargas should rebound against human batting practice machine Mike Pelfrey. Sorry, I just can't bring myself to favor the Royals in any game Travis Wood starts. I think we go 2-1 and end the 'stand at 5-5. Not what we wanted but a hell of a lot better than what it looked like at 1-4. My target number has been 5. As in stay within 5 of the Indians by August and with how the schedule flips, we have a real chance. Clearly, that is looking decent.

White Sox have hoisted up the white flag for this year (and next year, for all intents and purposes). Royals absolutely must take 2 of 3, if not all 3 this weekend. But, like you said, Travis Wood and all . . . . . .

The announcers originally pronounced it "Bona" and yes, you are correct, it is Bone-E, not Bon-A. He corrected them and they since have pronounced it Bone-E".

That was the most runs I have ever seen scored in person. It was so damn hot, but it was electric out there.
