Only ten scenes remain. We'll have two heats in this round. The top two scenes from each heat will move to the Final Five, along with one wildcard.












The top ten scenes of Chiefsplanet are shown below, starting with the eight heat winners, in descending order of their dominance in Round 5, as measured by their percent of their heat's vote. Pulp Fiction just keeps getting stronger.

I weep for the lost great scenes of the tournament. Most of these would not be in my top ten favorite scenes. Anyway, my votes:

#1 - Pulp Fiction. Easy winner. Easy, easy winner.

#2 - Inglorious Basterds. It's a tough fight for #2, and an important one. I have to go with this one for sheer suspenseful anticipation.

#3 - The Empire Strikes Back. I could easily go with this as my #2. It's a great shock and awe scene.

#4 - Tombstone. It's a very good scene, but a step below my #2 and #3.

#5 - A Few Good Men. Great acting, but there are no gunfights or Nazis or spaceships in it.

I'd be really interested in seeing how this tournament would have gone if we had a 50/50 male female split on the planet. You look at those top scenes and I'm not sure that women would really make the same choices. Maybe some would be the same, but I'm pretty sure there's be more scenes that didn't involve a fight.
