***Mid-round QBs: Who do we draft?***

I didn't put "OFFICIAL" at the beginning of this one.

Now that it seems that the majority here are finally accepting the fact we aren't drafting Geno..it's time to look towards the next option.

Now I am confident we will draft a QB at some point in the draft. Who do you think Dorseid will target?

Not who you want...but who you think fits their system they are running here? Will they target a WCO QB like Barkley [If he has an Aaron Rodgers type of drop]. I have a sick feeling we will nab Laundry Jones in the 4th.

I like Dysert/Bray/Wilson, but I think they are going to go after more of a WCO type of QB.

I think they'll take whichever of the following guys falls to the 5th or later, in this order.

Matt Barkley
Tyler Wilson
Landry Jones
Matt Scott

As I mentioned earlier, I think it will be Landry Jones.

Don't bother. Team has way more important holes that need to be filled for Alex's first round playoff win run in 2014.

This is why you don't trade the 33rd pick in the draft for a shitty backup QB.

We coulda ****ing had Fisher AND Geno. JFC.

If you really wanted to only debate "big" at the QB position, you'd refuse to discuss any QB in the 2013 draft and keep talking about 2012.

Since you didn't seem to "go home" this draft season, maybe you could realize that there are no "big" QB prospects in 2013.

Given that they seem to genuinely follow a BPA strategy, I don't think you can really tell which round they will take a QB in. If they end up with a 2nd round pick and they had Geno on their board in the top 25 players, I could see them taking him because he's the BPA.

I think it will be Landry Jones. He is smart but needs time to develope and probably won't pan out. Our pick for sure.

Wouldn’t mind Zach Dysert if he is still around in the Fourth. Would prefer they find a way to get a 2nd and get Geno

I agree...no qb interest this year.

Good point, but I think most of the QBs in the first four rounds will be taken too early.

I would be shocked if they didn't take a QB in this draft. Both GB and Philly had success drafting QB's even if a starting guy was already in place. Draft him, develop him, and if there isn't an opening to play....trade him. Even if it's a 6th/7th round guy like Matt Flynn was to GB, we'll grab one.

Yea because going into the draft we would have no starting QB, drafted a LT and known Geno was going to be there at 33.

Think about it.
