Bad news
SimplyRed started a thread about me not long ago. I thought I'd start one with the latest. I got very bad news today. My colon cancer got into my liver and the doc said it is stage 4. She said it can't be cured. Without treatment, I might last 10 weeks. Even with chemo, the best I could hope for is maybe 3 years. I'm scheduled to have a port put in tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1 pm. They start me on 3 types of chemo on Thursday.

Thanks, bro! Right now, my blood pressure is still too high for them to start the avastin stuff. I guess they don't want me to have a stroke. I got a reading of 140 over 100 and they came back and it was 140 over 98. They want the second number at 90 or lower. At this rate, I hope I can get out of here by my birthday on the 12th! Groan.

I am home finally, after the two hour delay due to my blood pressure. My fingertips and thumbtips felt like they were asleep and painfully so, but that wore off by the time I got in my car. I was able to drive so my brother was along for the company and my back up plan. I'm starving, got chicken in the oven, but Minsky's pizza is on my mind again.
