Dude has been money since his rough patch early in the season. I admit I was wrong in wanting to cut the cord so quickly. 8-8 over the past 5 games including a game winner and a 53-yarder today that gave us the lead going into the half.

Plus what was with those kickoffs today. Asked in the game thread but does it really make that much difference to have someone hold the ball on the tee? Dude was booming today.

That first half was weird. They got pushed all over the place on the first drive and then turned the ball over inside our own 20, and yet by the end of the second quarter we had a mile-long field goal going in to take the lead. It was quite heartening to see a half where they weren't playing that well and still managed to take the lead.

The second half was even more heartening, of course.

He's been solid since the first game. I cant believe people were ragging on him so bad, he's a ****ing rookie for **** sake. Now, if he was still shitting the bed 4-5 games into it, then we got a problem!

Still a rookie though, things can turn bad, but so far, so good.

I'm not apologizing to the kid, his misses SUCKED and cost us much... but he HAS rebounded and so I will give him his due... he's really calmed down back there and made the kicks he has to make.

Thats what I'm talking about, thats what we're paying him for.
