Ragland was fine last year and he looks like he could become a real solid ILB.

That was the concept.

Now, if Ragland is too limited well...that speaks to the talent level.
Iíve said for months that I donít think heís a three down backer. But thatís fine, because a 3-4 MIKE isnít supposed to be. His job is to stuff the run, and heís damn good at that.

If we play a shit ton of dime again with him on the sidelines, thatís not his fault if it gets gashed on the ground. Itís Suttonís.

The offense often dictates the defensive personnel. If SUPER MIKE is going to be on the field to be a run stuffer, then he needs to be there all 3 downs.

Otherwise he's just a part time role player with limited ability. You know....a JAG.

Well, he originally signed a 2 year deal worth 10 million with only 1 million guaranteed, so he won't be that expensive if we sign him.

Stupid. That’s not how the league works these days, boss. Every team uses ‘money backers’ on passing downs. It’s not 2001 anymore.

It just so happens that ours (Sorensen) was really, really not cut out for it. Insert Dorian O’Daniel, a player who is made just for that position.

Nothing stupid about it. If you're not on the field, you aren't contributing.

NFL defenses are only in base package 29% of the time.

That's a role player, buddy. Jovan Belcher can do that.

The nickel isnít a base defense, which would include Ragland. He comes out for dime or quarter.

Ok. COULD'VE done that. And did it. With more success than Ragland.

Oh, so then he is a big part of our shit Run D. Thanks for clarifying.

NFL defenses are only in dime 11% of the time. So i guess Ragland was there when they were getting their shit pushed in.

So again, don't lay the shit run D at DJ's feet while praising Ragland.

I really really question if our young depth isn't better than Scandrick.

Let that not be a compliment to our young depth.

Would you rather have Orlando Scandrick start a game because of injury or Tremon Smith?

I'll honestly take Smith. He'll get burned a bunch, but so will ****ing Scandrick. Hell, Scandrick got burned all the time when he was "good."

Dude, really? Itís a well known fact, or should be, that the Chiefs play far more dime than other NFL teams. They just do, blame Sutton for that. And hopefully they wonít as much this year, but they did in 2017.
