Good article Breakdown of Chiefs Offense Problems

Sorry if repost. This article may already be located deep in some other thread.
I think it deserves it's own thread though. And since I am awesome, you are going to let it slide. Discuss more Alex Smith/ Andy Reid/ and OL hate here.

Yep.

Now that the "wrs are never open" theory has been thrown out where is the issue?

The o line? Hell look at some of those plays, he had good protection on several and still shit his pants.

He has regressed

I think we all know Smith will be a Chief for the next 2 more years.. and all of that guaranteed money will come into play then. So that said, I am suggesting to you that you need not worry much about what he's making this season. The true test will be in the next 2 years.

In those next 2 years.. likely in the next offseason.. KC will have upgraded on the OL, and upgrade the WR position. THAT will be where Alex will be required to play more to his contract.
If the wrs are getting open and not getting the balls thrown to them how do we know they need upgrading?

Difference between last year and this year in terms of WRs = Dexter McCluster.

Now that's a bit on the hyperbolic side, eh? He just needs the OL to not be bottom 10, and needs the defense to be able to run defend better than it has. KC defense is DEAD LAST in takeaways also. All of these things affect the team as a whole.

None of those things stop him from throwing to a wide open WR from a nfl clean pocket.

He also threw two beauties to Kelce that got KC into FG range for the tie late in the 4th... but Kelce's fumble all but sealed the loss.

Guess that's on Smith too, right?

He HAS definitely missed on some big opportunities. That is not being debated. Alex is clearly out of rhythm and not reading the field to his capabilities. Why? You can probably bet the reason is the OL pass pro has him rattled and distrustful.

Probably slightly.

Ive gone on record as saying hes about on par overall with Flacco and he won a title.

And having to go less than 50 yards in 1:10 to try for a fg and getting less than ten yards while throwing the ball away on 4th down is what REALLY sealed the loss...

But I'm sure it's someone else's fault

That theory was blown out of the water LAST year when guys at the game reported WR's running free and Alex missing them.

2014 isn't some outlier.

Flacco will throw the ball downfield and make a defense stay honest, so no ****ing way he's on par with flacco right now...

I know, these SF Idiots just could dismiss what chiefs "haters" saw with their own eyes.

These pictures made it undeniable.

If a turnover with 5:30 left seals a loss, that tells me everything I need to know about our QB situation.
