Raid 0
Does setting a drive into a raid 0 configuration through the motherboard make any alterations to the drive Itself? I just got through setting one up on my new motherboard and due to some issues had to reset the motherboard. After I did that I can only access one of the drives. I even pulled it out and tried connecting it to another computer. It sees the drive but when you try to initialize it in Windows it says it is unable to. I don't have the exact message in front of me right now. Could the raid done this or do I just have a shitty drive i neec to send back?

I have no idea without knowing how you set the RAID up, what MB you're using, the error message and so on but out of curiosity why are you using RAID 0 in the age of affordable SSDs?

Because I have an SSD for the OS and I don't think you can buy 6TB of data for SSD very cheap.

Error is can not initialize device due to an I/O error.

It won't even let you initialize it. I don't think any options are available except initialize. I will check though.
