Even if he did tell him he wanted to race again I wouldn't take anything from that. People cope with stuff in their own way. Maybe he just wanted to get back to doing what made him happy and what might make him take his mind off of it. I have no idea. I know I lift weights when I have to deal with difficult things in my life. That's my happy spot and that's what makes me feel better. People think it's weird that I do after a funeral or something, but it doesn't mean I didn't care any less.

Remember how much shit Andy Reid took for not taking a year off after his son died? Same thing. Not everyone lays out the couch eating donuts while feeling sorry for themselves. I'd think people that do things at a high level like Andy and Tony deal with tragedy and adversity in a different way than Joe Citizen.

I think if anything they are just bowing down now to outside pressures to not race and he would prefer to be on the track racing, but it would just be a circus at this point.

Tony Stewart is retiring from all forms of racing. That's what he had told darrell waltrip and rusty Wallace. He is also going to sell his part in Stewart haas racing.

Not what i meant. Yes, he should be in shock, but i dont know how he is as a person and how he reacts to tragedy. Everyone reacts differently. Maybe he thought, hey i need to race for my fans and my sponsors, so im going to try to give it a go. Then maybe as a few hours went on, he's like you know what i cant do this. I dont feel like i can race.

People that are elite in their respective career's have this crazy mindset thats attack attack attack when it comes to their profession.

We dont really know im sure at some point in time he will come out and say something.

(CNN) -- The evidence gathered after Tony Stewart's race car struck and killed another driver who was walking on the track will be given soon to a grand jury, a district attorney in upstate New York announced Tuesday.

Michael Tantillo, the Ontario County District Attorney, said the matter will be presented in the "near future."

He said New York law precludes him from specifying when the grand jury will meet to decide whether Stewart should be indicted on a criminal charge. He also didn't say who he will call as witnesses, but Stewart might be asked to testify.

Last week, the Ontario County Office of Sheriff announced it had finished its investigation into the death of Kevin Ward Jr., who died from his injuries after he was struck by a race car driven by Stewart during a spring car race in August.
