Official 2017-2018 NBA Playoffs thread!

We'll see if the Warriors recover from the end of the season stretch of stinkers.

Mj has multiple clutch shots in the finals and defensive plays. lebron only has a block. This push for lebron as goat is getting ridiculous. So is this whole idea that lebron is so heavily criticized is getting overblown. He is the most overglorified player in sports history. Yes, he's received his share of criticism but that was more before. Only one guy now ever criticizes him and its skip bayless. There is also a push by lebron fans to say alot of jordan's value is nostalgia. That is bull. Jordan is Goat. Lebron has a slim chance of taking that title.

Another point, IF I already had a decent supporting cast that took care of alot of the duties lebron fulfills, I'm taking a MJ hands down. Lebron is perfect for bad supporting casts. There are heavy diminishing returns when you start adding stars because lebron's value is that he does everything. This is why he doesnt have a good chance to win another title unless there are injuries involved.
Great post.

Here you go:

Lebron:

Jordan:

Feel free to read their career accomplishments and decide for yourself who is the GOAT, instead of being told what to think by others . . . . .

Or also just be fine that they the were absolute greats of their era and appreciate it instead of trying to compare players when the game was different.

Now, James comes out ahead at every age, thanks in part to starting younger but also because he reached peak performance sooner. Before adding in this season's playoffs, and without the adjustment for league quality, James already has more championships added through his age-33 season than Jordan did at 34. Barring injury or an improbable decision to walk away from the game as MJ did, James will soon pass Jordan in career points. He's already ahead by a wide margin in career rebounds and assists.

A team drafting James' entire career would assure itself championship contention for more than a decade given his metronomic consistency and ability to avoid injury. Jordan might have been better at his best, but James has already put together the best NBA career we've ever seen.

Or just accept that statistically LeBron has already passed MJ and he's not even close to being done.

"Jordan might have been better at his best, but James has already put together the best NBA career we've ever seen." - Exactly. What several of us have already said. Being great so quickly and his durability are a great part of his legacy. But the biggest factor is how good each player was in their prime.

And when you consider drafting Lebron, you may get a long consistent career. But if history is any judge, you'll get 4-5 outstanding years out of him, and he'll meddle in every front decision and leave a pile of shit behind. That's a part of his legacy too. One guy will continuously make your team better, the other can give you a flash of extremely quick success. I'd take the former on that one.

Harden is such an unbelievable choking clown. If he just played his normal game he's played all season, they'd have a chance here.

Why did Kerr only have 1 of his 4 HOFers on the court for the end of the quarter there?
