View Poll Results: How much credit does Alex deserve for this stat?
A huge amount of credit: he is dramatically underrated and wills his team to win games. 3 3.23%
He deserves a good amount of credit. He rarely puts his teams in bad spots and has won many games himself. 27 29.03%
An okay amount. He doesn't get all the credit, plays pretty well, and doesn't give games away. 47 50.54%
This is all coincidental. He is average; he's just been lucky to have Harbaugh/Reid and SF's and KC's defense. 14 15.05%
If it was possible to deserve negative credit, he gets it. If anything, SF and KC won in *spite* of him. 2 2.15%
Direckshun's whore of a mother gets all the credit. 13 13.98%

Late night bullshit: Alex Smith and winning.

Since 2011, Alex Smith has won more games than everyone not named Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady.

Poll forthcoming.

Winning is a ****ing team stat. Alex Smith didn't win. The Chiefs and 49ers won.

You notice that's the main Stat those creepy bitch boy Alex stalkers go to when they're getting owned in a debate about Alex being mediocre. "Bu...bu...bu....he wins games." No he doesn't. He's won a game or two where he carried the major load....maybe. Aside from that, he's been there while defenses have carried the teams.

**** this noise.

Edit: ....and I'm not even an Alex hater. I just hate that ****ing argument.

Just a thought... but maybe he helps make his defense better by not putting them in bad spots?

Then you have to say the same thing for all other QBs. Can't have it both ways.

The defense sure carried this team when we played the Colts in the playoffs in 2013-2014 Wild Card matchup didn't they? Oh wait... It was Charles.. Oh that's right he was hurt. Then it must have been all the Pro Bowl WRs we had..

Wait a minute...

No. You can largely evaluate QB's by their individual stats and watching them play....all of which point to Alex being slightly above average.

Edit: and I have no problem with him being only slightly above average. I just don't like how the 9er creeps always scream, "But he just wins!!!" anytime someone is slapping them in the face with stats and logic.

That's fine. I don't have a problem with that.

I just don't like it when people say he sucks because of his stats. He certainly does not suck. I think we can all agree on that.

Nope. The Chiefs could do a lot worse.

Alex Smith is a governor on your offense. He'll prevent you from careening at too high of a speed into a wall or otherwise losing control, but with him you'll never be able to run down really good offenses.

Why the **** do people start threads like this?

I liken it to people slathering themselves in fruit juice and soda but not wanting to attract bees/wasps.
