So SF gets Kolb, Arizona gets Smith and KC gets what? A laural and hardy handshake?

I think KC would get Kolb, Arizona would get Smith, and SF would get draft picks.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Live Wednesday that Alex Smith ending up with the Browns is a "long shot."
Per Mortensen, there is "not a large buzz" about Smith around the league, and "the market is limited." Anyone who's kept tabs on Smith the past two years won't be surprised. Smith was available in 2012 offseason free agency, and only the 49ers and Dolphins showed much interest in him -- both after missing out on other quarterbacks. Smith's physical skill set is just borderline starting-caliber, and he was benched this past season. The 49ers won't get more than a mid- to late-round pick on the trade market. Feb 13 - 4:41 PM

Yes, folks. This is the guy a HUGE number of Chiefs fans want to hitch their wagon to. While Geno is too risky and not enough value.

Shortage of Alex Smith interest around league isn't surprising. Was FA last yr and only 49ers & Fins took him seriously. Borderline starter.

Yet the majority of Chiefs fans would rather acquire him than draft a QB with an undoubtedly better skill set and much higher upside, and obviously much younger. Like someone said earlier, Alex Smith is Geno's floor.

Also, Bill Williamson had a poll on ESPN.com asking what the Chiefs should do at QB...79% said get a free agent or trade for one...21% said draft one w/the 1st pick...

Just unreal.
