Overbooking flights is basically legalized fraud. I don't understand why it's standard airline practice and the paying customer has no recourse at all. If I sold you a bag of kush and the turned around and sold the same bag to someone else and told you "Hey man, you'll get your bag. You just have to wait till tomorrow when I reup." You'd have every right to beat the dog shit outta me.

I realize the pilot above is biased....I don't fly a lot but I've had good and bad experiences.
Last year, a United Flight I was supposed to be on with some co-workers was delayed 3 times, then cancelled.
We had an early meeting in another city the next morning and the agent's solution was for us to fly to Chicago...to see if we could catch a stand-by that was currently full.

She wanted to send me 5hrs from home, to sleep in an airport for a flight I "might" have a chance to get on...and in addition didn't think we'd get a refund citing weather reasons for the delay. There were none.

Instead, we left at 8pm, drove all night, arrived in our destination at 5:30am and I made it to my 7:30 meeting. United can suck balls. my balls.

flying first class for a while? **** that. they would be settling out of court on the assault charges.

He didn't pay the clouds. That's the difference.

The dumbshit in the video is probably going to get a huge settlement from these ****s, who'll want this PR disaster to go away as quickly and quietly as possible.

Honestly, I doubt that happens. If they followed procedure, then he's in the wrong - not United.

I stopped flying United 7 years ago and will never use them again. Hell, I'd rather be treated like cattle by Southwest than fly with United. Frankly, I don't know why the hell ANYONE would ever fly with them.

By the time they pay out the lawsuit this Doctor is going to throw at them - they will pay him millions.

All this so they could get a few of their employees to Louisville. Unbelievable.
