Time to call your shot - predict the Chiefs' 2015 record for the season

We've seen about as much as we're gonna see of the team before the games count. I always think it's fun to lock in your predictions before the season. Assuming we can find this thread again in a few months, it will inevitably be bumped to either laugh at or cry about.

Here's the schedule:

Sun, Sep 13 @ Texans 11:00 AM
Thu, Sep 17 vs Broncos 6:25 PM
Mon, Sep 28 @ Packers 6:30 PM
Sun, Oct 4 @ Bengals 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 11 vs Bears 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 18 @ Vikings 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 25 vs Steelers 11:00 AM
Sun, Nov 1 vs Lions 7:30 AM
(bye)
Sun, Nov 15 @ Broncos 2:25 PM
Sun, Nov 22 @ Chargers 6:30 PM
Sun, Nov 29 vs Bills 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 6 @ Raiders 2:05 PM
Sun, Dec 13 vs Chargers 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 20 @ Ravens 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 27 vs Browns 11:00 AM
Sun, Jan 3 vs Raiders 11:00 AM

(Yeah, I'm in a thread-starting mood. Bite me.)

Jesus.
The only "bad" loss in that group would be against the Raiders. The rest of those road losses are to teams that will be in playoff contention.

Not to hijack this thread, but the bob Sutton led d last year with Jemel Fleming, and Chris Owens and Phillip Gaines didn't allow a 300 yard passer. That's scheme. Yes, it had a lot to do with some inability to stop the run but not sure you can blame two Achilles heels and cancer on Bob Sutton. Even as great as Dick LeBeau is, the past three seasons his defenses has been shit.

Bob Sutton imo is a top Ten dc.

I'm just giving the man props.

11-5, win the AFCW.

They will win a wildcard game at home.

I think it had more to do with our offense not scoring much, and our run D.

Teams didn't need to pass for 300 yards.

9 or 10 wins.
If the defense is top 5, then add 1 or 2 wins and a playoff appearance.
If the defense is top 3, add a playoff win.

Yeah. Because our 2-14 team didn't give up a 300 yard passer either. Pathetic teams never give up 300 yard passers because the other team doesn't need a 300 yard performance to win,! Do you realize how stupid that logic is??? You are such a pathetic troll Clay. You are trying so hard to turn any positive about this team into a negative that you are grasping at straws and that lame bullshit is the best that you can come up with. Give it up and just go away. Your days of being a productive poster around here are just like Mannings days of being a dominant passer. Nothing but a thing of the past. You, like him, are just in denial about reality and we on cp, much like the donks fans, must suffer as we watch you fail again and again and again.

Regardless, 6 out of 8 road losses represents a bad football team.

Personally, unless there's catastrophic injury, I can't see that happening.

This is a good football team and the Steelers, Ravens, Raiders, Bengals, et al, all have flaws.

I have to agree.

If we lose 6 of 8 on the road, especially losing to any good team we face, we'll have basically no hope in the postseason where we'll likely be playing on the road.

I'll pick and choose the Ws and Ls later, but off rip I'll say anything worse than 10-6 in year three of this regime with the talent we have will be a failure in my eyes.

The Chiefs have flaws, too.

Guarantee other teams look at the Chiefs and see a team that has a questionable OL with a real weakness at the tackles, a mediocre QB, and a D that has been weak against the run each of the past two seasons.

Teams that struggle against the run have difficulty on the road in the NFL, especially late in the season.

I have no real reason to feel this way, especially with the weapons they have on offense, but I think Pittsburgh is going to tank this year. They are going to be a mirror image of the 2004 Chiefs - championship offense and shit on defense.

Completely agree. Their secondary is a mess. They have one linebacker. That is Lawrence Timmons, the rest are bad. They may have the worst set of starting corners in the league.

I went with 12-4.

Gonna say we split with Denver and SD and lose to Green Bay and Baltimore.
