3-Round Mock w/Trades

I didn't have time to do 7 rounds this year, but here's a bit of my thoughts for your enjoyment...

Tried to predict some trades as usual since mock drafts are 1) usually a pile of crap in the end anyhow, and 2) trying to predict them is fun.

I break out each team at the end, in case you're a lazy **** and only care about what I gave KC.

If you wonder why I have a guy falling it likely due to either 1) Medical or 2) There are issues that are related to criminal history, intangibles or some combination thereof.

Round 1
1. Cleveland Browns - Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Cleveland will stand pat at #1 and take the draft's premier edge defender and top player.
2. San Francisco 49ers - Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford
With their new DC coming from the Pete Carroll school of defense, they'll look for a disruptive edge defender to pair with their 3 monster tackles along the front 4.
3. Chicago Bears - Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama
The Bears could go several places, but they won't find Allen's combination of size, strength, and agility anywhere. He's a disruptive force as a 3-4 end, something the Bears desperately need.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars - Leonard Fournette, RB, Lousiana State
The Jags have to take pressure off of Bortles before he folds and they have to search for a new QB. Fournette could be Adrian Peterson Part II.
5. Arizona Cardinals (Predicted Trade w/TEN f/LAR) - DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson
The Cardinals reportedly love Watson and I think they'll make a move to get this kid. (2017 1st, 2nd, 2018 2nd)
6. New York Jets - Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
The Jets simply can't be stupid enough to move forward with the Hackenburg project. They like Trubisky, and they need Trubisky.
7. Los Angeles Chargers - Jamal Adams, SS/FS, Lousiana State
The Chargers missed Eric Weddle desperately so they'll look to replace him early.
8. Carolina Panthers - Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
The Panthers dropped off the map along with their CB play after releasing Josh Norman. They need to get a top-flight CB in this draft and they have a history taking guys from OSU.
9. Cincinnati Bengals - Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
The Bengals need a bunch on offense, but they can't go through another season with nothing for a pass rush. Take the edge defender early and worry about receiver and O-line later.
10. Buffalo Bills - Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
The Bills didn't re-sign Brown, so they need a new, energetic leader on the interior of their defense. If Foster checks out with whatever is going on with him, he's still going top 11.
11. New Orleans Saints - O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
The Saints experiment with Coby Fleener was a joke. They need to replace Jimmy Graham yet, and Howard has the skill set to be one of the best in the NFL.
12. Cleveland Browns (f/PHI) - Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State
The Browns' safeties were atrocious last year, so they'll look to get help here early. Hooker is a ballhawk that would instantly inject some playmaking ability into their defense.
13. Tennessee Titans (Predicted Trade w/ARZ) - Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
The Titans desperately need a #1 receiver, so it makes sense that they can trade down and still get one with a deep secondary class to fill their needs there later.
14. Philadelphia (f/MIN) - Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford
Head Coach Doug Pederson is going to love this kid, no doubt. He has wiggle and home run ability, not to mention he's an outstanding receiving threat.
15. Denver Broncos (Predicted Trade w/IND) - Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
The Broncos offensive line was atrocious last season and they don't have a left tackle. I think they'll make the move to get ahead of Baltimore and draft this year's top LT prospect. (2017 1st, 3rd, 2018 4th)
16. Baltimore Ravens - Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
The Ravens need a #1 wideout to give Flacco any hope. While they have line issues, this class is weak on the outside, so it's fair to give Flacco weapons.
17. Washington Redskins - Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
The Redskins did alot to fill needs in free agency, so they have some room to be creative. Cook gives the 'Skins a feature back they desperately need.
18. Tennessee Titans - Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
It's no secret that Tennessee needs help at corner, it's just how early they will take one. Conley is a prototype at CB and was reliable and productive at OSU; he would step into the #1 role immediately.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU
After relasing Verner, and having a 34-year-old Brent Grimes, the Bucs need to be forward looking in the defensive backfield. White is a premier cover-corner in the SEC and could step in and help that secondary immediately.
20. Indianapolis Colts (Predicted Trade w/DEN) - Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
If the Colts don't do more to protect Andrew Luck soon, they may not have a QB to worry about. The Colts are desparate for a RT, where Robinson could step in and be a monster right away.
21. Detroit Lions - Haason Reddick, OLB, Temple
The Lions need a strong side linebacker that can step in and provide some pass rush in their aggressive scheme. Reddick fits the bill perfectly.
22. Kansas City Chiefs (Predicted Trade w/MIA) - Patrick Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech
There's alot of smoke on the QB's and predictably so (obviously to get other players to fall), but they only tend to rise about half a round. Mahomes to KC is a perfect marriage and the Chiefs have the ammunition to make a move to get him. (2017 1st, 3rd)
23. New York Giants - David Njoku, TE, Miami
The Giants could use an upgrade at left tackle, but there aren't any studs in this year's class. I think they look to upgrade their awful TE situation for Eli.
24. Oakland Raiders - Zach Cunningham, OLB, Vanderbilt
The Raiders linebackers were atrocious last season and they need replacements for all three. They have to start somewhere, might as well be the top weakside player in the draft.
25. Houston Texans - Davis Webb, QB, California
The Texans need a QB after unloading Osweiler. They tend to favor tall QBs with big arms, so Webb is a perfect fit.
26. Seattle Seahawks - Garrett Bolles, OT, Utah
The 'Hawks will have to vett Bolles' troubled past, but if they feel he checks out, he could be a day 1 starter at LT. He's nasty and he's athletic, but he also comes with the "old man" tag and he has that history.
27. Miami Dolphins (Predicted Trade w/KC) - Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan
Cameron Wake and William Hayes are both over 30, so Miami needs to be thinking about their pass rush. Charlton is a good fit to develop as a 4-3 rush end.
28. Dallas Cowboys - Jabrill Peppers, SS, Michigan
Someone is going to take Peppers in round because of his athleticism, even if he has really average tape because he was a jack of all trades and master of none. The Cowboys need help at safety after letting Barry Church walk.
29. Green Bay Packers - Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado
The Packers don't normally worry about drafting for need, but they may have to after losing Sam Shields and Micah Hyde. Awuzie is the type of fluid corner the Packers typically look for.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Takkarist McKinley, DE/OLB, UCLA
Although James Harrison may look like and think he can play forever, he wont, so the Steelers need to look for another pass rusher opposite Dupree. McKinley is a good overall player with solid strength and good bend on the corner.
31. Atlanta Falcons - Forrest Lamp, OT/OG, Western Kentucky
The Falcons signed Hugh Thornton, but he's spent three straight years going to IR and wasn't very good. Lamp gives the Falcons a potential pro-bowler at RG and a rock solid front line.
32. New Orleans Sains (f/NE) - John Ross, WR, Washington
Ross may be a speed demon but his stock isn't going to be as high as many think, in my opinion, because of his injury history. That said, the Saints need to replace Brandin Cooks and would get a similar style of receiver.

Round 2
33. Cleveland Browns - Josh Jones, SS, N.C. State
34. San Francisco 49ers - DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
35. Jacksonville Jaguars - Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
36. Chicago Bears - T.J. Watt, OLB, Wisconsin
37. Los Angeles Rams - Obi Melifonwu, FS/SS, Connecticut
38. Los Angeles Chargers - Dan Feeney, OG, Indiana
39. New York Jets - Kevin King, CB, Washington
40. Carolina Panthers - Budda Baker, FS, Washington
41. Cincinnati Bengals - Jarrad Davis, ILB, Florida
42. New Orleans Saints - Adoree Jackson, CB, USC
43. Detroit Lions (Predicted Trade w/PHI) - Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State (2017 2nd, 4th, 2018 4th)
44. Buffalo Bills - Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
45. Tennessee Titans (Predicted 1st Rnd Trade f/ARZ) - Marcus Sanders-Williams, FS, Utah
46. Indianapolis Colts - Tyus Bowser, OLB, Houston
47. Baltimore Ravens - Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
48. Minnesota Vikings - Pat Elfein, OC, Ohio State
49. Washington Redskins - Chris Wormley, DT, Michigan
50. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State
51. Denver Broncos - Duke Riley, OLB, LSU
52. Cleveland Browns (f/TEN) - Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
53. Philadelphia Eagles (Predicted Trade w/DET) - Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
54. Miami Dolphins - Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
55. New York Giants - Raekwon McMillan, ILB, Ohio State
56. Oakland Raiders - Larry Ogunjobi, DT, Charlotte
57. Houston Texans - Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA
58. Seattle Seahawks - Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama
59. Kansas City Chiefs - Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri
60. Dallas Cowboys - Jordan Willis, DE, Kansas State
61. Green Bay Packers - Dion Dawkins, OT/OG, Temple
62. Pittsburgh Steelers - Curtis Samuel, RB/WR, Ohio State
63. Atlanta Falcons - Tarrell Basham, DE, Ohio
64. Carolina Panthers (f/NE) - Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee

Round 3
65. Cleveland Browns - Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
66. San Francisco 49ers - Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina
67. Chicago Bears - Marcus Maye, FS/SS, Florida
68. Jacksonville Jaguars - Dorian Johnson, OG, Pittsburgh
69. Los Angeles Rams - ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama
70. New York Jets - Ethan Pocic, OC, LSU
71. Los Angeles Chargers - Montravius Adams, DT, Auburn
72. New England Patriots (f/CAR) - Daeshon Hall, DE, Texas A&M

74. Baltimore Ravens (f/PHI) - Antonio Garcia, OT, Troy
75. Buffalo Bills - Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
76. New Orleans Saints - Taylor Moton, OT/OG, Western Michigan

78. Baltimore Ravens - David Sharpe, OT/OG, Florida

80. Indianapolis Colts - Adam Bisnowaty, OT/OG, Pittsburgh
81. Washington Redskins - Derek Rivers, OLB, Houston
82. Indianapolis Colts (Predicted 1st Rnd Trade f/DEN) - Alex Anzalone, ILB/OLB, Florida
83. Tennessee Titans - JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
84. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
85. Detroit Lions - Bucky Hodges, TE, Virginia Tech

I very much thinks he does. Maybe he doesn't fall quite that far, but I have a very strong sense that he's going to tumble quite a bit. Athletic scores were atrocious on top of the sense that he doesn't take well to coaching and changes in scheme. It's going to hit him like a rock.

I would say it's justified if Harris slipped into Round 2, but he'll probably go late first.

I should've said to our 2nd. No later than early 2nd IMO.

Here's my gay dumb first round mock

1. Cleveland Browns - Myles Garrett, DE/OLB Texas A&M

I'm not as high on Garrett, but they seem locked in on him.

2. San Francisco 49ers - Solomon Thomas, DE Stanford

SF takes a local kid with a lot of potential.

3. Carolina Panthers (f/CHI) - Leonard Fournette, RB LSU

The Panthers are locked in at RB, so they might as well get the best one.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars - O.J. Howard, TE Alabama

The Jaguars went after Thomas a few years ago and he was a huge bust, as expected. Rivera is more of a #2 guy, so they should land a #1.

5. Tennessee Titans - Marshon Lattimore, CB Ohio State

Titans look to make 2016 major weakness into a strength.

6. New York Jets - Malik Hooker, S Ohio State

The Jets need playmakers in general. Hooker should be a good one.

7. San Diego Chargers - Jamal Adams, S LSU

They should of kept Weddle.

8. Cleveland Browns (f/CHI,CAR) - Mitchell Trubisky, QB North Carolina

9. Cincinnati Bengals - Jonathan Allen, DT Alabama

They Bengals held onto Peko for too long and he's finally gone. They need someone strong to line up next to Atkins. DE could happen too, but this is a nice draft for that.

10. Buffalo Bills - Reuben Foster, LB Alabama

Being crazy should have him fitting in well with the Buffalo fanbase.

11. New Orleans Saints - Derek Barnett, DE/OLB Tennessee

Saints add some much needed pass-rush.

12. Chicago Bears (f/CLE) - Deshaun Watson, QB Clemson

Flush with extra picks to fill in gaps, the Bears add the QB they wanted all along.

13. Arizona Cardinals - Gareon Coney, CB Ohio State

The #2 CB spot has been a major hole.

14. Philadelphia Eagles - Christian McCaffrey, RB/WR Stanford

**** this kid and team.

15. Indianapolis Colts - Cam Robinson, OT Alabama

The Colts right side of the Offensive Line sucks. Robinson should start immediately at Right Tackle and push mediocre LT Castonzo.

16. Baltimore Ravens - Mike Williams, WR Clemson

Flacco needs more weapons!!!!1!1@1

17. Washington Redskins - Hasson Reddick, LB Temple

Ironic that the guy with the Muslim sounding name goes to the Washington.

18. Tennessee Titans - John Ross, WR Washington

They give Mariota a weapon.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Dalvin Cook, RB Florida State

They seem like a lock; kinda like his dogs on their chains

20. Denver Broncos - Garett Bolles, OT Utah

**** the Broncos.

21. Detroit Lions - Taco Charlton, DE Michigan

No way they pass up on a local kid.

22. Kansas City Chiefs (f/MIA) - Patrick Mahomes II, QB Texas Tech

The Chiefs need a QB and don't need ten picks. The Dolphins want more picks and can get who they want later on.

23. New York Giants - Jarrad Davis, LB Florida

The Giants will continue to invest in that front 7.

24. Oakland Raiders - Kevin King, CB Washington

Rumor is they're going to draft King.

25. Houston Texans - Obi Melifonwu, S Connecticut

Too bad for them, they missed out on all the QB's. They do need a couple new starters in the secondary.

26. Seattle Seahawks - Ryan Ramczyk, OT Wisconsin

They need at least two new starters on the Offensive Line.

27. Miami Dolphins (f/KC) - Forrest Lamp, OG Western Kentucky

With Albert leaving, they have a hole at LG since gasmask weed man had to move to LT. Lamp should be a long-time starter at LG.

28. Dallas Cowboys - Charles Harris, DE Missouri

They need to find a pass-rush.

29. Green Bay Packers - Tyus Bowser, DE/OLB Houston

Packers take the upside.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Davis Webb, QB California

Steelers get a Ben replacement.

31. Atlanta Falcons - Jordan Willis, DE/OLB Kstate

Falcons could use more pass-rush.

32. New Orleans Saints - David Njoku, TE Miami

Giving dickhands Coby Fleener money in FA a year ago was a mistake. They should fix it.

From everything I've read, I don't think there's any way that Watson fits Arian's offense.

Well, here's two things: Arians is great friends with Watson's Clemson coach, Dabo Swinney (stemming back to Arians 1-year stint as Alabama's OC in 1997) and Watson spent the offseason working out with Carson Palmer's brother Jordan. There's also been a ton of smoke since early February about the Cards wanting to get this kid. You could also consider his recent off-the-cuff comments about how he likes how Arizona's uniforms look on him in Madden if you're into that kind of shit.

On the flip side, I do agree that he doesn't seem to fit the traditional Arians QB profile that well. That being said, what exactly is his profile? He's kind of been spoon fed some good QBs over the years in Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, and Carson Palmer. The only one he had significant input on bringing in was Palmer.

I don't think his friendship with Swinney, or the training with Jordan Palmer influence this in any way.

And that Madden stuff.......No.

From what little I know, Mahomes is a better fit.
They could also roll the dice and hope that Kizor is there for them in the second round, who, from everything I've read, is probably the prototypical Arien's QB from a physical standpoint.

I could see the Cards trading up in the 2nd for Kizer. He'd be a good fit there as well.
