They probably will. I mean they have a good shot to win but this World Cup really isn't anyones for the taking.

As you said, hard to predict! On one hand we have loads of good young players who have been awesome in the EPL this season but on the other hand we are completely terrible in major tournaments and shit the bed. (Think Chiefs in the play-offs!)

One big talking point over here is whether Wayne Rooney should be the main focus point of the team or if he should even get a starting spot any more. He has under performed in an England shirt for so long now and is out of form. I think he should be dropped but I don't think it will happen. Ross Barkley is already more effective than Rooney in that position and is only 18 or something.

They play their group games in Menaus, which is basically in the rainforest. We are gonna struggle big time with the heat and humidity...

Back when I used to follow the WC more - I remember the Germans being very large compared to the other squads. Are they still sort of like that?

Also today it's who - Croatia vs. Brazil?

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack, bitches.

It's finally here. One month of complete and utter bliss.

My must see teams are: USA, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. I think Spain will win it all again. Looking forward to some great soccer chit chat and a ton of bitching about it by the haters.

You must be new here.

It has to do with victimization, learned helplessness, and the utter compulsion for some grown men to squeal and whine like 8 year old girls.

I don't even particularly like soccer(I mildly follow Sporting KC from afar)but the WC is must watch television. It brings people together. I'm in California watching the first few games with my dad from here, my cousin from NY and my uncle from Thailand. I don't even think we would all get together for the Super Bowl
