Get your tissues ready - it's time to fap

This deserves its own thread rather than getting buried in our giant orgasm aka the Mahomes thread.

Loved that. Andy put Burns on notice.

I don't know if that is an edit to make it look that way or not but if it's not that is hilarious.

I refuse to believe it was any editing and it happened real-time.

Someone please explain why it was that easy? The Tampa/Cover 2 has been a successful defense in the NFL for 20 years. This video makes ir seem like its easy. 2 wide? Go to your TE over the middle. 1 deep? Go to your wideouts.

Brady had Gronk. Plenty of teams had talented WR's and a QB that can get the ball to them. Was it a bad Steeler defense? Mahomes fastball? We just have too many options? All the above?

Why did this look so easy?

Tampa 2 is really great at kicking the shit out of teams that use the flats all the time, if you are a vertical passing team especially up the seem it's a bad defense.

Tampa 2 is famous for being vulnerable vs TEs and in the middle of the field in general. Tampa themselves were so good at it because their MLB could drop in coverage amazingly well. The Steelers were much better with Shazier. On Sunday they had Jon Bostic trying to play MLB and drop. Guy runs like a 5-second 40.

Above all else, though, only QBs with a strong arm AND the willingness to throw over the top of LBs can exploit it. Smiff was never great because he's too afraid to drive the ball.

tl;dr, basically all of the above. Mahomes, Kelce vs bad MLB = rare. Tyrod Taylor can't make those throws, 99% of TEs can't run that seam route, and Bostic is spectacularly bad in coverage. Woof.

Nailed it. I would tack on the importance of velocity in these throws. Alex throws it and the safeties have more time to get to the TE, but Mahomes guns it to Kelce before the safeties have time to read and react.

The Tampa version had Derrick Brooks.

Nobody else does.
