There should of been a build up to him like Thanos in the xmen universe. You needed Mr. Sinister.

Sadly, none of the xmen movies hold up well. They were great when they came out in the early 2000s. But just no real thought into them, making them about wolverine, same with todays movies making them about jlaw. xmen were about the entire team.

Avengers were always second rate to the xmen, now it is reversed, even more so when it comes to movies.

Cant bring myself to care, I've been over the X-Men for a long time and the trailer for it before my viewing of Batman vs Superman this afternoon did nothing to change that

I love J-Law, and Sansa Stark is hot... but this is a rental at best for me

I have zero interest.

Matthew Vaughn's First Class was very good but Singer's follow up was not. He wasted the talent of his actors, which was a complete travesty.

The only interesting character in Singer's X Men films has been Wolverine and that's only due to the casting of Hugh Jackman.

First Class was solid, but Days of Future Past is probably my favorite, it had a totally different look and feel than the others

I felt that everyone was wasted, save for Jackman.

I really liked Quicksilver's cameo but the rest was blah.

I'm not sure how a director can underuse McAvoy, Fassbender, Dinklage and Lawrence but he found a way.

How are they going to have the weakest X Men team to date take on their most powerful villain?

Legit, they've got a young Cyclops and Jean Grey, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Beast and Havok. And they keep focusing on Mystique to get Lawrence screen time.

I liked First Class and loved Days of Future Past but.. Meh. Will watch doe.

If it makes you feel better, he won't be Wolverine, rather he will be Weapon X, fresh out of the tank.

edit: Which should be when he was most vicious.

Singer has had a disappointing career IMO

He started so strong, then just mediocre for he last decade at least.

Cyclops and Havok (the much more interesting character) are brothers.

I understand that Future Past gave them a reboot but how does time travel explain them being born about 20 years apart?

The MCU chronology is all wrong but it doesn't come off as clumsy and without purpose. The X-films do...

I thought there were a ton of solid performances in that flick.

That Quicksilver I want to see more of.

The writing of the film as a whole was $3it.

I think, over time, the only film that stands up is 1st Class (despite continuity problems.)

Late edit: and he was a Floyd fan. I mean, come on, the irony of a speedster loving the long, drawn out and slowly evolving sound of the Floyd is...well...
