The worst thing family does on holidays...
Just interested in things family, in-laws, friends do to meals on Thanksgiving holidays?

Is it packaged gravy mix? Boxed stuffing? Burned turkey?

I've got a few... my father-in-law goes all out. From scratch everything. Except he throws the turkey drippings down the sink and makes McCormick's packaged gravy.

But that's not even the worst. He microwaves his turkey. Not even kidding. It's horrifying. But to be fair, it doesn't taste as bad as it sounds.

The worst part is that we're a military family, which means we're scattered all over the world. So, we don't get to spend it all together every year.

yeah one year the in-laws decided they wanted a dry Thanksgiving with no acohol; have at it. Dayze showed up with his 6 pack of Lagunitas Maximus.

...about an hour into the holiday, they went for a beer run lol.


no alcohol?...that's like passing on the turkey and serving Spam.

apparently, my BIL is on a jesus kick. he's never been religious, though raised catholic. he said he bought a bible and has been reading it.

I got ahead of the most likely storm, and told my wife "when it's recommended that we go to Church for mass on Christmas, you can forget about me going. have fun".
I'd bet $100 that attending mass on Christmas eve or Christmas morning will be proposed.

so I'm looking forward to his ramblings also.
(he cycles through things of interest quicker than anything. meditation. juicing (not the steroid kind), vitamins, going vegan, cleansing.....you name it, and he's gone through at least a 30 days 'phase' where it's the most important thing for him, and therefore everyone else should do it.

as he walked around the entire time with a sport bottle thing. and anytime anyone would mention the slightest ailment, his response was "...you might be dehydrated".

No...my stomach doesn't hurt because I'm dehydrated. it hurts beause of the 8lbs of food I just shoved down my worthless gullet.
