Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was released from the hospital Sunday after reportedly being shot at the V Live club in Dallas.

Rebecca Lopez of WFAA-TV and Jeff Darlington of NFL Network originally reported the news. Talib suffered a leg wound that has been categorized as minor, according to Mike Klis of 9News. According to Klis, a source close to Talib said the wound was "accidental."

Dallas police told Liz Farmer of the Dallas Morning News that Talib was one of two people injured as part of an altercation that began inside the nightclub before continuing outside. Both were taken to the hospital with "non-life-threatening injuries."

Jeff Legwold of ESPN spoke to team officials, which said Talib had not yet been released from the hospital, but expected to be discharged "soon."

Patrick Smyth, the Broncos' vice president of public relations, said the team had spoken with Talib, adding he's okay and that the team is "gathering more info." James Palmer of NFL Network added that Talib's teammates had also spoken with him to confirm he was okay.

Lindsay Jones of USA Today added that it "appears unlikely" Talib will join his teammates for their visit to the White House on Monday. Jones added that teammates are "not expecting him there."

The identity of the shooter has not been revealed at this time. Dallas police have not yet released the name of the other victim.

Talib, 30, has been in intermittent legal trouble since his NFL arrival. He was arrested on charges of battery and resisting arrest in 2009 after allegedly punching a taxi driver. In 2011, he and his mother were arrested after an altercation with his sister's boyfriend. Talib allegedly fired shots at the boyfriend, though those charges were later dropped.

While he has largely remained out of trouble since, this is the second time in 14 months that Talib has allegedly found himself in a melee at a Dallas bar. Talib and his brother were investigated after an incident in April 2015 during which an unnamed man fired a shot into the air after being kicked out of the establishment.

Neither Talib nor his brother was charged in that case.
