If You Ever Wanted A Vitamix Today's Your Day

If you ever wanted a Vitamix but couldn't afford it or were waiting for a good price today is your day.

QVC has the one and only bad ass Vitamix on sale for 389.98 on 6 payments of 65.00.

This is the one with the 64 oz. (1/2 gallon) container, variable 2hp speed controls.

If you've never used one of these you will be amazed and what it can do.

Makes the most awesome green smoothies, ice cream, peanut butter, margaritas, etc.

There's a reason why Starbucks and many of the other commercial establishment use this machine.

When you watch the cooking shows you will see that most professional chefs use the Vitamix.

I have a ~60 year old osterizer that works pretty well and is paid for. Course, the lights dim and you can smell the ozone when it runs. No payments is nice though.

Mostly I agree. But in the case of a Vitamix, it's often not the price tag itself, but the fact it's that much for a blender. Those payments make it easier to justify.

and thats the way they like it.

Thats why the offer such a thing - and thats why most Americans are drowning in Student Loan / Car / Credit Card Debt

Justify it any way you want - you can't rationalize the math

Meh... people that can't afford it generally aren't buying a Vitamix.

If it gets people eating healthier food...who cares how many installments it takes? I've got a Blendtec and it's great.

Weird spammy OP though.

Eating healthier? How so? I bet many people like making smoothies that aren't necessarily good for you and making things on top of the other food they already eat. Buying a cooking device won't make you eat "healthier." I've always loved that claim from product companies.

Anyway, I think it's cool. I'd be willing to pay maybe $100 for blender but no where near $400. I do like to cook though.

Someone who uses it, can you explain how it helps you or why you love it?

Because at the moment of buying it they got a momentary thrill while daydreaming that a $400 blender would change their lives?

Shit - just ****ed up my resolution to stop being an asshole on the internet

This.

I paid cash for mine at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon.

499.00 became 400.00.

The six payments makes it easier pill to swallow for those who can't justify paying that much for what they think is a "blender".

The purpose of this thread is that if any of you out there were on the fence about getting one and the only thing stopping you was the price tag this will help.

Everyone who says their blender works just fine doesn't need a Vitamix.

For me, it's the texture of the smoothies I make every morning. Nothing I've used even comes close (never used Blendtec, but hear good things).

One of my regular smoothies is fresh pineapple, green grapes (with seeds), and baby spinach, along with a little ice. Until the Vitamix, my green smoothie always had a little chew to it, mostly from the seeds and the spinach. No matter how long I blended, it just wouldn't blend down any further. The Vitamix can totally break down the foods into a super smooth smoothie. It's also the first blender I owned that could effectively destroy blackberry seeds to my satisfaction.

And if you're into blended soups, the friction generated in the Vitamix can cook it while it blends.

Yeah I bet 2/3rds the people using a blender are making strawberry shakes with this thing.

Wasn't it Jack La lane that used to whore this thing. He used to throw gourds and tree bark in it hit mix . Then claim its Delicious while his senile wife yes'ed along in unison.

If this means my life style and eating habits will change to maracas and pine cone smoothies. Well I will just save me 500.00 and go to Mickey Ds and get a shake.
